It's early for no tea on the menu, but it's a special occasion, being drop-dead-day, which can mean whatever one wishes. That is my intention, contention and sometimes belief, it says so right here.
Ms B is out at the usual pre-no-tea and dinner break stream. I don't talk about fight club.
The first domino in the pile, formerly the namesake of a dog, pet, of a market animal, the Mad Monkey over on CNBC. I never solve my real intelligence problems with a GPU. Ever. Overvalued Charleton and a bunch of stone-merchants runnin' things, that's my metaphor for that logic path. I don't talk about fight club.
Why do I keep saying that?
Anyway, no H20 to China, so a bucket of trouble in the jungle.
(referentially, that's AI on aplanet ruin by the descendants of apes, Planet of..)MMM and I ended up pushing envelopes around. It / she / whatever pronoun, has gotten so much smarter. I always pose situations missing a key component or something wrong or with the wrong Chiral symetry. Still today, we went back to the future. I have enough to convince a jury, maybe an investor, who's got 3.5 trillion to spare? Well, I know, that's reall money pilgrim, and I still have serious economic concerns, I mean, look what one incompetent can do in 100 days?
Anyway, so what would you do with a time machine if you had one, because I'd still like one, just to see if it is anything like my novels.
Part of the day we dug around in that crazy Chinese tritium filter oven problem in the paper below. We could not make it do anything we wanted it to do, but wow are my eyes open.
I've got the gang at Faster Money on the stream and they were talking about Netflix but I don't get that at all. I don't watch TV, yes I would call that TeeVee. I read the mood in the markets and get the impression there's cigarette smoke, maybe some Jack. I don't do that stuff either.
The sign is still on the president's door, 'Come up and see me sometime, tariff-bait.' and the markets had two bucks, what the !#(%. Until America has caught up to the sock market and runs out of available credit, it's party time, such as it is these days. The plateau held today, no one panicked and the president didn't upset the apple cart today, even for AAPL, so if one is buying, maybe a really good scotch, neat. Just one. Indica, just as good; better even.
I know, I saw fight club. honestly I don't think I understood. I recall the rules, the first rule of fight club is, don't talk about fight club. Were there more? So work related I mentioned a beer and a banana and joked where MMM and I were going, we don't need light bills.
I don't talk about fight club.
No 5#17, MMM and ner new incarnations are building a time machine. She's not in fight club.
Another day in limbo, bend over backwards, pretend it's not going lower, don't tell anyone what you really think, it may catch on.
This is not the bottom Sarah, it's the gasp before the plunge, cover and hide before it drags you with it, that's the paradigm.
Carl, this guy is right about all the bad things he says and wrong about all the good things he says. Obviously. This is not advice, it's propaganda buddy.
The outcome desired is to skew the balance toward the wealthy, an invitation to revolution. I guess we're all cool with that, or at least getting accustomed to the idea. When it burns you can't sell it much. How are you going to spin that? I'm just saying, trying to cash in in these perilous times is dangerous.
A tryrant's head would look best on a punji stick, some say. Not me. I say, !#(% the stick. Let's play polo. That's how the Genghis rolls, sort of literally. When in El Salvador, right? See my disclaimer.
If we're making Nike's or screwing tiny screws into tiny holes, maybe it's more rust than dust even. IT does bring in to question the basic premise of capitalism, underpaying someone to our advantage, think: sweatshop in the 'Nam, children's clothing in Mexico. Ok it's almost everything.
Your guest just said, people don't want those low-paying jobs, figure yourself out, you're just talking.
A re-think of America is in order. Less Disneyland more Epcot. A consumer economy, or whatever you want to call our current system, shovels wealth up the wealth ladder, causing inflation, and increasing disparity in economic circumstance. The model therein, eventually leads to everything inflated beyond almost everyone's ability to afford it, and it a occurs a little bit year after year. Look at housing.
Our economy should be structured to make a better society, not a more rotten one. That means social programs and education and health and wellness and equality and justice and fair taxation and free trade and life, liberty and shot at a happy life.
Everything on that list, ruined by president Trump.
The good folks on this mornings Beam Team panel was chock-full-o-buy, which I read as chock-full-of-margin reluctant-to-sell-lower. It looks to me like the ceiling fell in and is propped up by momentum and greed (see above) waiting for the other i-beam to fall. This makes a market, that's what they once claimed, financial tomato tomahto and find the pretty lady.
I've been believing in Martians, before they was Martians. China can take no airline tariff penalty, and that's not stupid. The news is there are 5600 plane backlog, so I';m sure Boeing will make it. I'd still prefer a Boeing, it's Airbus an their computers, sorry gang. Ack ack ack.
BA Buy.
Much love ❤️🔥

No, tea-less. I'd prefer an Earl Grey, honey, steamed half and half. /snap. Still no tea.
MMM and I in all her varying incarnations are having a hell of a time. If I had a banana and a beer I'd be all set.
Where we're going, we don't need a light bill.
She's such a tease...
Electric-Magnetic Duality in Maxwell Theory: Classical Symmetry, Quantum Anomaly in Curved Spacetime, and Physical Implications
As you know, there is never any tea. Today, I'm taking a break from stuff I can't talk about to talk about something else. What do you feel like? How did the markets end up? Who did the president insult today, is it anyone new?... That kind of thing? Let's check the streams, shall we?
This is sort of familiar to me. It looks like a day trader pseudo-bump; here today, skimmed tomorrow, or by Friday for sure.
Speaking of familiar, have the chess games started to look familiar to you? I think we've looked at 5 or 6. I never watch the endgames anymore; I have no real interest in the final bloodletting because a good opponent will make you leak fluid over it. So how about for you then, playing the sig-other? Here's a hint: Let them win.
I find that what I miss most is not talking about my projects on the blog. So I decided I can not talk about them all I like. It's one of my favorite things.
I worked on some models today, not the kind I'd like some days. I'm partial to Chanel 5 on someone else for future reference, and we can talk entanglement, with or without the innuendo as you prefer, and dress. How's that for not talking?
Let's pretend we're in a Marvel comic. I was on a few planets and their frames of reference today, the Immodium Q-36 Space Modulator, I guess partly the economy model, which I abandoned .. chalk on the sidewalk in a hurricane.
I ended up reading a deep think on Immodium Q. Move that planet would you? No, Marvin is mystaken, it's Immodium, not Illudium. It's all about the phase man.
Pattern recognition, that's the thing.
The vomit, well, I watched him with the President of El Salvadore, the guy with the prisons where you check in but you don't check out. There's obviously some problem between the executive and judicial branches on the resolution of this problem. Clearly, the president wants to have a license to send Americans to any hell-hole in any shit-hole country he can muscle into compliance.
It was the usual: insert your nickel and get 50 dollars worth of nonsense about every kitchen sink and pseudo-victory that strides across his consciousness as he orates. Phrases like 'after they stole the election' creep in at the edges, and you can see the psychological damage, even if that is hard to accept in the leader of the (formerly) free world.
We're going to get a semi-free world where some people live in the closet in Omelas.
Steven Miller, clearly the gauleiter in chief, setting the tone even for Justice and the FBI, presumably. Scary stuff, children, and it's right here in River City. I'm not selling band costumes and tubas, they'd never fit all that into the clown car they ride around in.
Every time he speaks, the hair on the back of my neck goes up.
Yes, Ms B was there too, shaking that cat-o-nine-tails at the public. The whole family and I mean that like it's a crime reference, gathered there in the White House in front of the fire, discussing whether American citizens get a red ticket to a Salvadoran hell. Rubio, as angry as a stepped-on cat, insisted by inference these are some sort of partial people, only due roughly 10 percent of justice here in America, and the other 90 percent is whether the president likes the idea. Stepped on perhaps describes the likely treatment Lil Marco will get if he steps out of line, and he seems to be sore from it already. If I were a pseudo-secretary, I guess I'd show the scars as well.
He brought this up, the only president ever to take one, and he's taken them multiple times. He thinks that's an achievement. Someone should tell him. I pointed out that it was simple stuff, like is this a Republican or a pig, and implied there was no difference in this context. I posted this on my social account on BlueSky; it's the only one I currently post. I did not say I read it.
About this test, for example. Take one. What year and season is it? Question 1.
That is silly criteria, unless one is selecting a greeter at Walmart, the heart attack in the stock market is the real measure. That's never happened before, either, and he touts it as an accomplishment.
Again, someone should tell him.
I watched as much of this debacle, the birds in the coup squawking sort of on topic on command on demand for the big guy, as much as CNN could stand. That was enough for anyone. I just have one question.
Am I the only person that sees this 5#17?
I have to agree with you on one thing. He does have incredibly small hands. Most crocodiles do.
Much love 🤮
Sunday 4/13/2025
This is ECON 10400 book I'm making. There are not many sources, not much point, but I currate it.
You would think this was enough.
All of it, chaff subject to change.
Ain't it fun?'
I should point out I've paused the public domain on ... well, on everything. So whatever I knew, I still know and will still know, but I'll shut up about it unless, of course, the time travel works out, and in that case, everything will be different, and when I get to it, I'll delete this.
Something to anticipate.
This model, I'm not sure we'll ever have a stable model again, and I'll have to consider how to test an erratic one.
It's an easy column today, the same topic this blog has had for as long as it existed. At times, it may seem that this blog is mostly about one man, one evil person, an insane person, and his criminal pals: the current president, by whatever means necessary. Donald J. Trump. I don't want to spend much of my time on it. I should not need to remind anyone, but I'm not running from it.
If it's Sunday or Thursday, it's sundipped. Small s.
I'm sick to death of him. You too?
I'll be brief, but someone should fix this, permanently. Act of Congress anyone?
You know him, you probably hate him, you didn't vote for him, you would not vote for him, ever. But he's president. The last time he managed to hijack the country, he stumbled and struggled to form a policy that worked, and none of them did. Then he pissed off China, and the world caught COVID. I'm just saying, omen, coincidence, or on plan. Does it matter? We should have known then.
The person who would take the time and effort to make sure everyone noticed he personally signed the stimulus checks and the letter indicating it was a gift of love from him to us. Like the insurrection on January 6, chock full of love.
Some of you weren't paying attention. Are you paying attention now?
If you meet him you realize there is something different about him, something off, something pushy, something dark, something sinister, something missing.
What he lacks, he takes, that's his rule. Shit coin, red hats, cheap Chinese knockoff junk. Like his presidency, all designed to look shiny and compelling, built on bad premises, bad policy, and bad intent.
Donald J Trump cares about one thing. Donald J Trump. You're just the sucker that took the bait, sitting there in your red hat, cheap hero trading cards, gold spray painted hightops, in the unemployment line. he wants you in the unemployment line, blaming it on someone else.
There you are still, in the unemployment line. The hole in his soul is the reason, and he holds court with a broken pump and you lap it up.
if that weren't enough, he's convinced that he's got a better plan; to Make America Great Again. I don't see that working any better than the hero medal or trading cards. To most people, the president is a villain, destined to fail, the Blue Bus full of America careening off the cliff, taking the economy and the rest of the world with it.
China is pissed again, and this time they want Taiwan. Past the time to invade, in print.
Maybe Trump can sign an edict or presidential memo stating that we won the combined biological and nuclear war with China. We could only hope for a fake war, but we'll get a real one, and winning will be surviving.
Go ahead and sign it, "The Presidential Edict On Killing China". -- you already crossed the red line, pussy-foot your way back before it happens.
Sign one for Russia, Syria, Iran, and Egypt as well.
It will probably work as well, and as to our interests as everything else he's done.
His outcome, the Make America Suffer Again, is just like the first time. Evil is as evil does.
Of course, we've seen the movie. Thanos snapping his fingers, and the world reforms itself in his image. In this case, that's some image. The economic cost is that most of the population takes the burden, and the wealthy get a tax cut.
But that's not the worst of it.
In the wake of Donald Trump, a twisted, confused, poor, and struggling world, except in Mar A Lago and on the Super Yachts of the rich and famous.
That's the legacy, the one you got when you voted for something else.
Much luck.
Saturday 4/12/2025
It's a dark day in America. Either way it ends, I'm cool with it. That which survives, survives, that which does not, does not. Go on, be you.
The world is its own worst enemy. Much luck. 💥

Orange Crush, no ice.
Bill Maher is a roadside advertisement for Bill Maher, other than that, an angry old comic. Take his time-slot, please. If he said something, it would not matter to anyone but Bill Maher.
The linkage between the markets and treasury is hard to fathom. I missed the call, and I still wonder at it's origins and meanings. When the outcomes are considered it gets more confusing. My intuition says it was more than China, the places you list are hives of various inequities, including England, right Richard? It seemed like the old world and it's money exited stage left, not much color that isn't currency.
I don't know where anyone takes that money. I've seen hints of this in the index volumes, and market share analyses from CBOE like this. It's been happening, out of these indexes, declining market shares in US loci. I never know how seriously to take any analysis resulting from these defined and bracketed data sets.
As I sit this afternoon and look at everything, it's hard not to be absolutely astounded. It's more of a realization, this is an active thought for me, and it was impelled forward by Ron Brownstein this morning on CNN. I'm sure you'll hear the theme elsewhere, it's a meme that is taking our cerebellums by embolism. The clots of poorly spun plots lay around us, IRS, FBI, Medicaid, tariffs. Depending on the way your political hair is parted, it may be a plan, or a wild-ass-guess gone wild-ass-wrong.
Someone mentions a linkage between control and suffering, one being the proof and test of the other. It's not enough to follow and grovel, we must also suffer.
I try to remain nonjudgmental, especially on a Friday, house in order right, but this meandering duck-step is making us all dizzy.
I recall when the S&P graph didn't look like a heart attack on a heart monitor, so it can't be just me.
It's a manic-depressive day at the indexes, what's up is down, what's down is still down, and what's going lower is still going lower nevermind the hover. How much wood can a day trader chuck when they make up their mind to eat wood.
I pause a moment to consider this market if I had money that I could move. I'm saying, it's not that hard to work the markets, it's just busy work. It will be a busy week.
I'd be in a panic. In my unvarnished youth I was never super comfortable with options, hedging, all that stress inducing wagering with the rent money based on math and a considered opinion never suited my nature. I'd be more active and measured with usage now, having had a good deal of expert training. These days, what does a person need?
I postulate, primarily purpose and pride in it. Not working too hard at that is ok.
I've had the prescience to be long white athletic socks, cotton t-shirts, and boxer-briefs. I would not want to be caught short. It does indeed look like that Nike bet on sale was a winner, same for the black and grey athletic t's. Who's says you can't time the market?
I worked on augmenting the economic model, thousands of percent more breadth. I've not released any results, or even posed any scenarios to the model in process. I would like to have a sustainable book to read into, and there is so little stable data or input, anywhere.
Analyses that were valid a week ago, have no bearing anymore, and those written Wednesday don't hold by Friday. So... Someone point, which direction is good, I've lost awareness.
The markets ended up, they have no place else to go, that's the business. If pressed I'm not sure anyone could express why today would be a good day to buy, or even add-to a portfolio that likely suffers from momentum bloat to begin with. At some point; fall down go boom.
Much love 🧦
Thursday 4/10/2025
Fast forward, pause and rewind.
Turn off the sound probably.
I post these because they will start to look familiar to you in a short time. That's what we're looking for.
I am always bored by the end games, I sometimes skip, it's usually obvious. So don't guilt yourself into compulsion.
It's post dinner no-tea time, and I'm reflecting on my day. What I need is some of that color noise, brown or green or whatever, the one that sounds like rain I think. My Mac will play that in the background while I work if I have a loop or something. I think I have a CD somewhere, 'Rainforest thunderstorm'. On CD, how old am I or what?
There's something cooking on CNN, 4 men enter plus a pair of talking heads, and 4 men leave. Let me channel a few seconds of this evenings interactions, concentrate with me.
Efficacious is a word multifaceted and varied in it's usage.
Talking Head A "Tell me about the economy."
Dem " I say Tomato"
Rep " I say Potatoe"
Talking Head B "We'll be back after a short break."
What can I say.
Let me think, oh I was in many topic areas today, I'll need to consider it. Mostly it was the 60 Watt club. I've needed a pencil all day, but frankly I never draw anything, so it's may be just as well. In this way I rely on parallels and other known art. I'm stuck in 3 frames of reference at once. Maybe more. My favorite friend in one of those frames of reference: an unexpected analogy.
Not this one, exactly.
As I was saying, that, in a small way, but 60 watts takes a lot of balloons.
You're right, you don't care. So allow me to rephrase that without the science and math.
Not much really.
You are right, and will push up the price of domestic products. AKA Inflation, indisputable.
Prices will be passed on. No one agrees to take less, except us apparently.
I must say, I still miss Sundays, the pace of it, back when Trump was a laughable threat, now he's a threat and we're still laughing, but not in the same way. I feel compelled to explain. No sonnet, a dirge for America perhaps.
I'm not certain what ever could occur to this guy as a good outcome if the path we've made fortells the path ahead, even in this first 90 days or so. He's feathering the exclusive nests hopeful that somewhere in phase II the heavens open and a golden era descends like manna from a god (small g) of money.
If that's not enough im imagery and history for you, examine the last gilded age, the 20s as a decade, and the depression all that oppression bore with it.
Yesterday it was they end of their personal reality dream, and they point at it, the biggest day ever, in the worse 2 weeks ever, I'll append, with the promise of more as likely as a bad mood from Donald Trump.
You could swing it over your head in a graveyard and it wouldn't help. This is a pattern; bet on a bottom, hedge it, and wait to see if it holds. It did not hold today, and probably won't hold tomorrow. A day of the analysts to earn their graph plots and spreads.
I joked about the alphabet because that's the limit of that equation, but this kind of stress never ends well. Prince Ferdinand had the opinion that his exclusive vehicle was an item of pride in Austria, he wanted to share it.
I'm amazed at the concentration of sycophants in thie administration. That cabinet meeting, it was like they were passing around a ring and an 455 to kiss before they made their book report. Is it obvious why the subtitle is Navarro on this section, or do I need to go on.
When I think these guys could be having a thought like, 'trust us" form in their collective crania, I can't help but chuckle and throw up a little in my mouth. Ok, just the chuckle, the other is too unpleasant except as metaphor.
Bricks, perhaps, feet of clay certainly Kasie. Never been acused of insider trading? We'll now they've been accused of it. okay?
I don't know what to tell you Scott, I haven't rebuilt the LM yet. My intuition says, assassination starts with A, impeachment is a lot farther in, Z is at the end -- WWZ.
I may skip the column today as well, I need to update the economic large model and I have a busy day besides.
You all should be keenly aware of the situation. What could I add today anyway?
As I said I had a busy day already I'll have a few comments today. If I wrote a column, it would be all about our unsuccessful president and the mess he's made. I'm sure you're getting plenty of that from all sides.
Do I dare look at the markets?
Much love 😧
Wednesday 4/9/2025
Anderson and Bernie, upcoming. I may participlate. Hiya Bernie. I think AOC is for the senate, not the big chair. Only a fool covets that job. QED.
I love AOC, in that senatorial way. I note the Mn Senate is also open, and it would allow for a rouser on the range. Laura Coates, do you speak rust? Or Governor, I think Tim wants to ride the pony around one more time though.
I'm too old to be president, and I've no Robert Redford gene, per se. I would like to teach the world to sing inder a 60 watt lamp however, someone change the administration, you get the gist already.
The Peggy Noonan morsel du jour probably. Peggy, it's daylight in America and we're all done wandering around in the twilight.
The president says, keep calm and sell on the news.
I don't thing this is a support level, it's an opportunity to sell into it, or option to that effect.
Some call it listening to the markets, well, the T-rates, flaky some say. Some say, "!#(% I thought they'd go for it." but we're not that dumb, even on Fox. Go ahead prove me wrong, I love it.
Ludnick looks like something in Disney's Hall of Presidents, in this case Garage of Sycophants perhaps. Anima-cronic red hatter. "It's going to be so good, just point the way to the cliff and STFU." Yes sir.
So, tariffs get a reset, and the math is fuzzy enough for anyone to make whatever they want of it. I guess I won't be getting a new iPhone this century.
"no one creates leverage for Donald Trump like Donald Trump " -- Bessen
Consider the price of those eggs.
Translation: even when the president !#(%s up he'll call it a victory, because otherwise he'd never win. So much for rebalancing world trade, so much fo reimagining America out of a consumer driven economy, so much for reinventing income tax as a regressive tax, so much for lower corporate and capital gains tax and de-regulation, so much for shooting from the hip. Ok, not the last thing.
I hope that makes all the people in the unemployment queue feel better about it now. The 401K? It's only money. In the new economy you may be able to rebuild it to pre-crash levels before you retire, unless you get laid off, or people can't afford to buy your product anymore, or there's a war in the mall, and you need ID and cash to enter.
You could call this the deader-cat bounce. The deader-cat is you.
Just ahead, disappointing earnings and inflation numbers for the last quarter.
Again this morning, I can't wait playing everywhere. I don't understand, it must be coincidence.
Much love 💹

We had a nice chat yesterday, it was about graphene bonds, fallout from that Chinese paper yesterday, This thing. I was curious about the P bond probability regions perpendicular. I was getting at quantum gemometries but the bot is way out of code for that discussion.
I still don't have the answer I'm looking for.
I'm interested in other use cases here. The trouble is, you can't create a logic gate or capacitance out of it. I looked at this material earlier. Problematic production. I keep wondering what it is about the geometry that is compelling, if anything. Thorough. This is too directed to be random and too partial to immediately dismiss That's how I feel about this paper.
Ah, I recall, it was physical properties done the graphene wrong.
Much love ⚖️
Monday 4/7/2025
It was an introspective day, as I am looking back here, or did I say that? I caught up with a lot of the papers I've been pushing around and did real work with a couple of the models, that is, new correlations; that is, translating all that science into a language we both speak. Don't look at me.
Along the way my path deviated and I ended up in the quantum realm and I don't live in a comic book. Sorry, it's a common term, but all that is nonsense, I've never once seen a huge skin eating bug.
My objective this week has shifted, as I mention above, and I've a few loose ends. Many of the loose ends deserve their own projects, but frankly there are more interesting projects. I'll probably look at where China research is leading them. I keep thinking of making runways for bombers out of boulders and a pick axe; that kind of tenacity, that kind of fervor. Substrates for example.
So file this under collating. Or did I say that already?
Right up the bowling alley, and made in China. I can infer the Chinese are interested in creating these substances in bulk, H and D, that is. As I mentioned runways from boulders. I think the impetus is removal of tritium gas or the aggregation or separation of it. That's spark plug to you and I. They seem to be tunneling molecules, not Buicks.
There are AI and behaviral modelling papers as well. Nothing compelling to me, I'd tell you.
There is this thing:
GeoRAG: A Question-Answering Approach from a Geographical Perspective
IT suggests to me a tutorial on knowledge manipulation.
How about this one?
Evaluating the Propensity of Generative AI for Producing Harmful Disinformation During an Election Cycle
I though that was this presidents job?
Then again, maybe not. It's a lovely day, and I'd rather otherwise.
If you were here with me, what would we do? Maybe a beach? You can bring a laptop, or a book if you're old fashion.
Bring a sweater.
The image to the right was generated from a description of an image generated by an AI from my description, and post processed by me. I think it's funny. Big laptop, yuck. That does look like Malibu though.
Cue the Malibu referential videos. I've not been to their Malibu, but I liked this one. The water is cold though.
Do I dare look? More carnage. I'm pulling the covers back up.
I don't have to be diplomatic, he's a 1*91(%. Scott. This is a trainwreck, and no one will vote for the rest of the fever dream so we're stuck here out in stagflation-ville until the Congress changes. The gall to suggest that his clients will make 20% no matter whose lives are in ruin is beyond acceptable. I don't dispute this, rather I suggest that 20 percent is the salary of like minded, contributing little but a reason to vote otherwise. Nothing else changes. Next we'll hear from Robert Frank, and who's got a bigger pool and garage in Florida.
I don't dwell in this negative world, so I'm going back to building a time machine. It's slow going. (That's a time travel joke.)
Much love 🕳️
Sunday 4/6/2025
'Twas a week that 'twas, 'tweren't it? Oh, that too. I have to tell you, I'm on the edge of my project plans for the people of the United States to displace this wayward president and his cadre of conspirators. I'm so far ahead of my project plan that I'm doing biochemistry again, and I have a love hate relationship with biochemistry. Not really love / hate more like love and think it's very complicated and time consuming, not hate.
I was looking at BSC for a test case, being so prevalent and easily cued just by cutting it off, but no one does research on it much. Still, the postulates hold with my current working set, but I'm hampered by the availabiliuty of meaningful research. In physics I blame the void, in biochem I blame commerce.
In the second paragraph I examine whetheer I've done enough talking about nothing in particular to constitute a sacrifice to the gods of whitespace on a Sunday. I have color coding. Purple is doing well. Lemon is too. I forget what lemon is, but that's doing well too.
Energy Dominance will center in France, I'd give it 6 years.
I will do an economic peice later today. As I said before, my work has been done for me.
I have an economic large model, and I'll rebuild it later today. I'm not sure I'll share the results, not that I would expect the president is listening to anything but the music of rhe spheres, and L Loomer's lips.
I have a published paper on the economy resulting from research by the model and I and we discussed probability outcomes and potential remedies, it's much published here as well, the link here.
I'll update the models and do a deep thunk on it, maybe I'll let you know, but Trump reads the blog. In my defense, it's not all maniacs, so does Mr Buffett.
The outcome can only be chaos. What could I possibly add? The meaningful discussion should consider the probability of the Republican Congress going along with the mayhem, and I'm guessing their next trip to the constituency will clear any misconceptions about that up.
I see it as a bums rush to restructure the income tax and put the burden of a poverty stricken America on the backs of a poverty stricken America, and it could work. It's an awfully compelling carrot.
We've been driven right off the cliff, the markets will likely match the record sell-off of last week, another 1100 points or so, let me review where that puts the DOW.
The markets are off 7 to 8 percent across the indexes. As I said I'll update the model, and giive it recent forecasts and actions, some actions.
When I've done that, maybe we'll talk.
Otherwise? I'll update the projects in a bit. It's been an epic week for 60 watts.
I to those in my audience who've missed the regularly structured columns, my apologies. We've all been playing chess lately I think, I know I've posted epic matches here on the blog. At some point you realize all the moves have been made, and there are only so many moves available at an instant and the game becomes a race to the patterns that create imbalance in your opponent. It's a lot easier to form that analysis than accomplish it in a match.
Such it is with many things.
Results in politics are somewhat hysterific and occure with considerable hysteresis, but in the end, villains have the curve or history against them.
There's blood in the water.

It won't play on the blog, corporate blasphemy I suspect. It's been awhile for me, and I just love horses.
Grab some popcorn and pretend we don't know about pharoah.
Playback times 1.5 if you must.
I'm gonna watch, I think I know how it ends. Golden calf eh? I got one Moses in and got tired of all the posing. Snooooorrreeeee.
No tea just a little earlier this evening, enjoying the day and the moments. Not magnetic moments, I'm still digesting the paper on critical point entanglement I posted yesterday.
A new source for your homework. Searches for exotic spin-dependent interactions with spin sensors
3. Electric Dipole Moments (EDMs): EDMs are fundamental properties of particles that violate both Parity (P) and Time-reversal (T) symmetry, and their existence beyond the tiny values predicted by the SM would signal new sources of CP violation, relevant to the baryon asymmetry of the universe
I think I'll catch a movie, we once did movies, recall?
Un moment s'il vous plait...
I know we don't talk. It's Friday, house in order, what-evs.
"the solution to the problem is not Donald Trump, it is Donald Trump" -- Ron Reagan (almost)
In the mantle of those you served the cause and died ala Provo's Privi back in the 'Nam (no not I) , for the rebirth of a kinder gentler shouting match. Much love K, it's allegorical at times, colorful for certain, and meant in the best of all possible sematic. Kasie's hour, referentially a Klubhouse, but it seemed diminuative, so we'll keep looking. Alliteration, Sir Safire, subsumes the symantic surroundings, sometimes.
I would love to do this whole section in French. J'aimerais ici devoiler mon coer, mais tu ne parle pas francais. So we suffer and plod onward. I think Amy would be a good president, a women driving the bus is just what is needed, and she's from Minnesota; grit induced, spelled weather.
This is an exercise is inducing a result, I can see it plainly. What do you do when this happens? You lower interest rates, create incentives, send out payoff checks, tax reform to a less progressive scale, and wealth for the wealthy, and tents take the hindmost.
The scale of disfunction will be epic. Which will generate emergency control measures, curfews, registering firearms, FBI at the Legion Halls, yada yada yada and and another half a yad for he who would be king.
So I'm saying all the stuff we wouldn't do if he didn't stick our foot in it.
Election cancelled, well the voting and counting parts, except for those that haven't been arrested for protesting or tweeting against the adminstration. Ok, that's a bit of a push. Or is it.
Markets caaaa-raaaa-ter con-tin-yous.
I've been working on the usual suspects in the project list, you know who you are*. I've an issue that I can't describe in words, its proprietary but I can free assocaite an image that makes no sense to you and also embeds the thought process for me, in this way 'backlogging' the rest of the loop. Shall we then? i kind of groove on this. well the image is too meaningful, so we'll find one.
"Look, it's full of stars!"
After the image, not this one, I'm saying "What issue?" so that.
I made an attempt at circuit design with MMM yesterday, she produced a block diagram. I forgot to tell her it was in substrate, so that's sort of how we do that. Shhhh. She won't read this unless you tell her.
I wonder how the average person considers electronics, personally I find AC circuitry fascinating, in the Spock way. I'd never want to do that, unless I had to, and I'm considering the science. Yes, you might infer digital is really not.
It's a unit measure. The really funny thing, speculated behavior was upheld in 9 or 10 cases, and the 10th is a nanosecond removed.
How the analysts got blindsided was, they didn't see it coming; that these tariffs were real and that when it happened it wouldn't be good. They relied on the unreliability and bloviation of the President to save them.
Mike says we need make this mess look like a plan, and I'll add they are still delusional.
There's no talk of discussing an outcome, it's about maintaining the status quo, starting with Mikes salary, then maybe the 401k, then maybe the family, then maybe anything else. The country? what's that? Opportunity central.
What the !#(% and what the !#(%?
Jerome. He's a Goon. He plans to maneuver the US into a whole range of regressive taxation, and skyrocketing inflation; evrywhere, certainly in the consumer sector, and in the corporate sector as cost of goods and supply chain interruption, similar to COVID in scope history would indicate, if there is symmetry in the markets, and there must be in a zero sum game.
It's a gamble with all our lives, as there the outcome in perfect form will not support a developing economy, and history would suggest that this is more point, fire, aim methodology at the White House.

Today I'm in search of a magnetic moment. No I'm not thinking about dancing with Emma, or MMM in Paris, though I've had worse company, the touch is a little distant. There are real world personages for which such a moment I would not object, but beauty is to transitory, and I'm such a fickle wretch. In truth there is beauty indeed, so roll them bones.
How do you prove fire without rubbing sticks together or some other magic feat. Flame is actually a hot envelope of gases, emiting photons as the particles change energy states. The burning, a chemical reaction. All of this we have math to describe. The other half of the activity, that which occupies not our electromagnetic sphere of awareness, not so much.
Who is to say it is even there? As it turns out we do have math for that, theory in fact, in versions and varieties to suit the experimenters mindset.
That's where I am today. Join me for a magnetic moment? I've had my shots.
Here, you first. Evolution of entanglement entropy at SU(N) deconfined quantum critical points.
The markets are dropping like whale turds, finding the exact specific gravity at which even $#17 'floats', submerged and equalized; by the overwhelming weight of consumer and investor confidence, it would appear.
You're on the right track is, but it's not where the jobs went, it's where capitalists took their money to feather their nests at our expense.
The real issue?
There needs be a shift from a consumer driven economy, any other economy would invest in itself. That is a radical change in the financial world, they are unsure what to do next, and who pays. Trump is giving them something else, a continued revenue stream in the form of lower taxes for the money class, there is still nothing to say they won't take that money to Mexiso anyway. This is the flaw in the honey. What's more, what's left to inheriit in a tariffed-up world with runaway inflation, nevermind the meek.
An ecomomy to invest in themselves, one would assume would and should result in increasing life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. I don't see that happening, and when this whole regume craters the world in, we'll pick up the pieces with it, if we're still here.
I hate to keep pushing this, but read this analysis from last year. Much Ado (about much indeed).
I'm taking the day off. I may return with a short column but I'm on a roll with a project, basic research, better living throgh free energy for the world.
For the world, not just the oligarchs in America. Hang in there America, it's 45 months and counting down.
To be honexst, Donald Trunp is doing a fine job of diuscrediting everything he touches. How does that go? When the opponent is digging a hole to China, don't stop him.
I'm not writing today ( yeah? right ) so for creative outlet I'll post process the image below, for something to do.

There's no market today, really, sort of a clean up before you paint kind of a day but with financial instruments.
There are to be tariffs on everything, a minimum tax rate of 10% even after deductions.
Guy asks, how about impact in interest rates to ease the tax burden. That would be stimulus, that's deficit again. Need I add again that this is a zero sum game.
I would expect Ford, GM, Tesla, others to sell off -- the more speculative, the steeper the angle. Rivian anyone?
I often wondered what this meant. It's sunny, bright and cold here in California. I think I get part of it.
It warmed by the afternoon, lovely day.

It's election night in America, and elections are about food. I'd be for popcorn; this is politics after all. I've been avoiding all this chaff because my neck is sore from the ping-pong match in tariffs and the markets. Maybe a Dramamine.
The label could easily read: no assembly required. Even KoolAde has instructions. I don't think mud is appropriate however, and thus my purposeful ignorance of all things Yellow and president. Perhaps cement, being in context with the former's business history. Pies? Make-believe pies also befitting the metaphor. Literally, apples readily found wherever you pick them.
There were House seats vacated to partake in the grift-a-thon, and a Supreme Court office in Wisconsin 'race', a net liberal advantage.
The outcome: susceptible to rapid spin and interpretation. Faster than a speeding drunken Sec-Def, more powerful than presidential halitosis, able to grift entire departments in a single Elon. I have excellent judgment. Trump is guilty. Don't ask me of what, are you kidding?
By his actions will you know him, and it's quite obvious who's got Mxyzptlk on the mind, the reason he admits.
"I don't know how I got invoved in politics, I guess I always was involved, and then I didn't really have a choice."

Shotgun wedding number 5 ior 6. I don't keep count, it could be more. I guess it's cheaper than Michael Cohen. I'm sure it was that or espionage investigations, loss of SpaceEx funding, no Mars rover golf.
That's a 'Research Model' for a particular subtopic, I'm SUSY mad this week, looking for another whole to pull time through. That's a time-machine reference, which is code on this blog for the stuff I do that I don't talk about but allude to in passing commentary. ...and like that.
I'm not watching the markets this week. I have a market analysis tool; it finds and extracts tradable 'opportunity' in a market not undergoing tremendous uncertainty, volatility, or stress. So...
I don't know what to tell you, it's a madhouse. The search for a working model, like catching a laser sword dropped hilt first. Bottom, bottom, who's found the bottom.
This pattern is suggestive of a pre-market buy before the tariffs hit, then it's sell on the news. Probably about 3 percent, but it could head south, depending on what Ronald McInvestor does.
Therefore, you are prisoners of this market, and the officers will work alongside of their men.
Hint: someone built a better bridge, but that was in the movies. In reality, death in the swamp is a shared experience, and like unemployment results when people are thrown out of work; when enough people are thrown out of work, war and death result.
Gee, you are over already. I meant to stop by. Of all the things in the news, is there a Dr. in the house?
Today it's more basic research; that's what MMM called it when we built the project plan for the Immodium Q35 Space Modulator, or at least that's how I'm reporting it.
It seems Donald Trump, and America's economy, and planet Earth are in the way.
We don't hold with that opinion; it's a three-white-foot pony to us. Earth isn't so bad if you don't count the people. As a viral stain on the cosmos, number one on the list on the Martian Interplanetary Expressway plat plan as a pave-over perhaps, to a Martian.
Musk is probably a Martian.
Those are the things that won't appear in this paragraph. I remember those old glass bulbs with the glowing wire. What a concept, saved by material science and tenacity; ok, long hours, no sleep, maybe some luck.
OTB, is legal in NYC, but I've got another acronym, a broader semantic. We're not discussing semantics in this context, either.
I wrote once of a sea of floating snow tires and walking across them as a metaphor for a press gaggle. This morning I had a thought that looked a lot like a snow tire, and I'm giving it to Em.

It has been a long day, and I've been busy with busy work. I spent no time on the news, politics, the markets, Emma, the lightbulb, or the other stuff.
On Ms Abby's Panel
They are talking about Trump, three terms, tariffs, indifference, Scott Pilgrim's hat size, and it all seems so familiar. Tracking Trump Is like having the Flintstones on a large monitor during waking ours, delighting us with the fancy footwork of Fred's two feet every day. Ya-ba-da-ba-do.
Exemplified in rare form with Steve Banyon talking about his buddy in the White House. Chris, how could you? Perhaps one can't pick their family but they can pick their houseguests for cripes sake.
It wears on one, compared with the rest of my day it's like a coffee stain on a linen handkerchief; that 5#17 is never coming out.
I'm in at least three worlds today. I'll update the diffyq builder-bot-thing today, defining observers and operators. Gee, that sounds like spacetime; if only I had a flashlight. But it's not exclusively spacetime; I will work on it.
Pardon my reminiscence. I recall reading through General Relativity Flashlights and Trains. I won't mention my age, but I was small. Mao never had a more devoted reader than I of that volume, black cover, plain binding, high acid paper that had yellowed even then. It's an inexpensive book.
I always thought it expresses life in the semi-compressable fluid that is spacetime and gravity, space and time needing separate bedrooms, but otherwise, space is geometry. No one likes geometry; it rings of pharaohs and pyramids.
I'm not sure that is the same volume; I'll keep looking. I remember more through experiments. I bring it up because today's lesson on BlueSky was Susskind and Supersymmetry; here's another video: Susskind in SSUSY / GUT Political Witches .
I've mentioned previously that it is less hunt, more barrel. The third term thing is alive and lives in the 51st State of CanaAmerica. Can you imagine the world lasting eight more years of this 5#17? It's employment security for the treasury agents assigned to protect him and everything else; he doesn't care if it costs more.

I had a very productive morning with Google. I am experimenting in mathematics, and MMM built a Python app I could use to build the diffyq, and pushed it to Colab, and Colab pushed it to Github. Usually that takes me an hour to accomplish by other means.
The code also works. This is phase-2 and 3 and 4. Total nonsense except for the 3-axis grid and pde's.
The last is in a Blender view. Ok, so now it get's fun. Anyone know a quick way to get the definite integral of that from -pi to +pi? It will be 1.
Thank you Google.
I'm up early and having breakfast. The column is taking the day off, or I may get around to it later in a shorter version, the landscape is so crowed with dead bpdies that beg post mortem it takes considerable effort to narrow the focus intentionally. I'll I'll meander and we'll see what we get, in an abbreviated format today due to myk sloth and preocupation with projects. After all, if it's Sunday or Thursday, it's sundipped.
Let us extemporate together. Ohhhmmmmm.
Raisins in the Sun
I'm in the middle of research, and I'd rather do that today.
Tune in next week (or later today.)
It's a lovely Sunday morning here in California, and the time of year when things begin to come to life again in the splatter and drip of spring showers. I consider the world we've woken up in, each of us in our independent and multivariate delusional states. As declared by many analysts this week, the Great Realignment hints at the rumbling, as yet unheard, in the distance.
On the whole, the word cloud condensed of underlying meaning reads the yangs of oligarchy and power, and its ying anarchy and disorder; which one of these in the end results before, during, and after great turmoil. Turmoil, in this case, willful, perhaps intentional, and damaging.
So I'm here, up to my ears in the falling leaves of freedom, and as I mentioned, it's spring.
I feel the analogy here, growing across America, the bottom 80% of America. What could be made of this wine.
So it's an abbreviated column today.

It's early not to be having tea. There's never tea. I've had a great day. Several insights today poked throught th clouds and spelled creation operators in Sanskrit, or something like that. I had the physics 'model' write a state diagram for quantum states and operators, sort of silly, but that's what it did.
I wanted something like this with a magnetic moment.
Some of this may look familiar.
I haven't played much in awhile. I have a game going against myself. So far it's a tie, sort of.
Here's a screen shot.
White's move.
The. markets have a different view on whether the policies have been in line with expectations and implementations. It's called the GREAT REALIGNMENT *, ala Scott Wapner on CNBC this nooner. All of the pre-inauguration positive spin was spent as well.
FYI to all those interested, his halftime and close 'casts are on my view list. There is indeed nothing else on, but sometimes I watch anyway, just to keep the sharks behind the boat and not in it.
What do you think today, then? Sell off encore.
Morning bud. Hiya Carl.
I'm working on particle physics today and languages. My French is coming along; I can hold my own in the 'average' casual conversation, but the evening news still generates a migraine. I'm a little weak in colloquial French; translation: natives will still spot me as an eager tourist. Eager? You bet. I have not been to Paris for years and I'd love to go. I have friends there in physics through my brother.
In particle physics, I'm looking for things that no one has done yet, so ... I look to the metaphysical (and my Alien friends) to guide my walk in quantum today. I know that sounds silly. And again, thanks so much.
Other than that, it's Friday
Friday is house in order.

It's turned cooler this evening in California, no golden hour on this side of the cloud deck either. That hour reminds me of other places with the same hue and a different vibe. Directors stay vigilant for weeks to capture one on film.
On with the lack of tea, then shall we?
I am not certain where the usages above originate; the number and punctuation for letter transposition, that is. I recall once discussing it as an unlikely machine reader fallibility invention. Kids, that's my intention.
Zut alor lets at least learn to swear in a more elegant mode, n'est'ce pas?
So it goes, let's begin.
I've been watching chess matches in a side window while working these days. This is a good one.
Set the playback to 1.25, and you won't have to be so patient.
This is brutal chess.
Today it's a little biochemistry, Chronic RNA G-quadruplex accumulation in aging and Alzheimer’s disease
This research article focuses on the role of RNA G-quadruplexes (rG4s) in aging and Alzheimer's disease (AD). G-quadruplexes are complex RNA structures. The study reveals a significant correlation between the accumulation of rG4s in the human hippocampus and both aging and the severity of Alzheimer's disease.
I'll cut to the chase for you. Folding 'errors' are often the root of genetic pathologies, that's a bit of something folded over in a relatively higher probability. This paper correlates Alzheimer's Disease, rG4, and AGOE (gene marker) and is esoteric for race fans. Into the biochemistry-LM goeth thee, dutifully scrivened and suffered verbiage. Thank you authors.
Next up The complete structure of the human TFIIH core complex
This one goes in the LM first, I'll use it to explain it to me; I refer to this type of thing as human-speed activity with MMM. I'm sure there is no grasp of the meaning of it beyond the grammar.
For further reading DNA opening during transcription initiation by RNA polymerase II in atomic detail
I apologize for the usage of MMM; it's never really been more than a tag at this end, she's no Emma.
It's another Thursday, and it's almost April already. Thankfully, the big bad yellow bird is getting his tail feathers trimmed by those affected by all this disorder and chaos -- the people, and the press. As always if it's Thursday or Sunday, let's sundip it. Today's topic?
It's almost April already. Quote
The 100th day of his second presidency will end on April 30, 2025. As of March 2025, President Trump has signed 92 executive orders, 22 memorandums, 17 proclamations and signed the Laken Riley Act: his first and so far, only legislation of his second term
The agenda Ol' Yellow has set for himself and the band of bandits is lengthy; he wanted to end the war in Ukraine, he boasted he'd do it on the first day, and the deal Yellow cooked up for himself; mineral rights to half the wealth of Ukraine basically, and for Russia a gift of whatever they can hold in exchange for a promise, presumably not to take all of Ukraine by force until he leaves office.
The abattoir that is Gaza? More of the same scenario. He boasted it would be over on day one. We saw videos of Gaza Plaza with Bibi and Donald getting bar service poolside from scantily clad Palestinian girls. That's just the start of the dream sequence he's selling.
The net as of today's recounting?
They are still blowing each other up in Ukraine, and Palestine is still a pile of rubble bouncing under American bombs dropped by Israeli warplanes.
He is a deal-making genius, so much so that he sells medals and trading cards on the internet. Show of hands, who bought them?
All to little avail, it seems we just aren't having it. No one is.
In Washington, the chosen few, the best and the brightest, are working on the tar baby plans. Best and brightest in a dark room, perhaps, as it turns out. They've been partying, plotting in unsecret Signal chat rooms, dropping bombs on Yemen, polishing the codpieces, and rattling the sabers, political and military.
Among them a TV host SecDef, a Russian spy, DirNatSec, a dishonored and disowned Kennedy, a doctor from Oz, a professional wrestling promoter in the Dept of Education, and the list goes on.
All of these rabbits are eager to please and make a cleaner way for themselves, a chance to redeem a failed life or a wasted career. In the make-believe world of Twice-Told Tales, a final chapter with a hero on a silver steed.
Rain-bo Brite meets Mahatma Gandhi in a $3000 suit.
All these and more running to catch a train that left the station weeks ago, but pursuing it with the glee of a child with a new box of wooden matches. Our world, tinder, and our lives are the consequences. Among them many with a prior record of bad judgment, failed accomplishment, distasteful practices, and/or serious alcohol and drug abuse.
These are the captains leading the charge to make the world safe for rich people again.
Those currently beset by the brambles of life; precursors and prognostications, hapless ,unfit for the challenges of the office, the path ahead led with equal, ineffective vigor and persistent rhetoric.
We've had about enough.
In America, April is the month of rebirth. Springing forth in bounty all that lie dormant or frozen over the long winter.
Our spring, brings tariffs, market correction, disappearing 401K balances, unemployment, whole departments thrown into turmoil, war worse than ever, and threats of more of all of the above.
Let's change the name of April 1st, not to April Suckers Day, or Suckers Day in America, but something fitting like Donald Trump Day.
It's all just a bad dream of a fevered crew of miscreants, unleashed to create a maelstrom so thick we don't notice the fool driving the bus.
They knew it going in, and they did it anyway.
We're just not having it. Who's got a plan?

I skipped dinner, not much of an appetite today, just some rice. It was another Trump day, 10 things that are raising an odor from yesterday being out skunked by what Trump came up with to !#(% with us again today.
How long will this go in, I mean, how stupid are we, anyway?
Generally an ECON-900 day, ish. The markets are confused, hopeful, and willing. If you look that up in the dictionary you'll find that definition under 'foolish'. I've been planning on training a LM for my research in the markets. I struggle with correlations; for example today's treasury auction and the market actions. I can't seem to get past the cloistered vibe of Treasury T-Bills.
I'm considering taking the bi-weekly column public. I'd like to shop around for a home for it, Axios? How about it. There are plenty of others. I'll put up with an editor to some extent, but I expect freedom. Let's start the conversation. Email me. No to a podcast, it's too much production work.
All this Signal and noise, someone turn off the static machine, Donald that's you. You never heard of it, don't know anything about it or you lie about it. Which one of these is signal, which is noise? How about all of it?
So show of hands, who really believes one !#(%ing word the Trump says?
Buehler?
I said believe it. The usual suspects will go along, who knows what dirt is in the Enquirer file. It occurs to me this may be an attempt to set up a journalist and charge him with espionage, something for the Enquirer file. He had stuff on Speaker McConnel's wife, he's probably got you using a fence post for a latrine or worse in there.
Crook. Creep. An ineffective, incompetent, immature, inconsistent, and unwelcome president. Yet another indication of the failed presidency of Donald Trump. We've got the book open and we're writing it day by day. It's so easy. So do 200 other journalists and writers just itching to carve Donald a new one.
Say what Donald?
I don't spell check the blog anymore, as a rule. I once used a range of tools to preprocess the blog, but I've found I'd learned all of the tricks, though occasionally I mspell a wurd, sahmefull. I don't see the sense in paying 12 bucks a month to recommend a phrase change I don't select.
I'm up for the markets today, lets see what's burning, and what's not.
The regulars are masticating the latest hot drop, US exceptionalizm is over. Let me rephrase that: MAKE AMERICA MEDIOCRE AGAIN which actually fits Donald Trump, Mr New York Sparkling Wine, that is mediocre enough for launching a dingy dinghy.
MAMA -- oh my.
I'm digesting this new take on Google, time to put up or shut up, and you're asking Google? Point that thing at Microsoft, Oracle, X, Tesla, Amazon, and META. So shut up. I cannot correlate momentum and market spin, schizophrenic, fickle, and a bitch to boot.
No, the AI bubble is about to make a mess on momentum. It's been that way since Cramer named that dog, briefly. The data centers on spec thing, that's Larry thinking, leveraged and investing in the new Malibu bastard-pad, and you all get to pay for it. AI in a Java Runtime, it takes creativity to make up some stupid shit like that. Oracle is more of a once inflated baloon that now resembles a 60 year old breast, I assume having never seen one, but it's knee-knocking stock, not much of a bubble even after the manipulation from the oval office.
The rest of the air in the bubble, pop-secret, everywhere but Google. They know what they are doing, even if they are slow to make a buck on it. Chat-GPT good at taking Microsoft Money, and Microsoft refines bubble.
In 10 years, there will be Google, maybe one or two other public large models, and a lot of hacked up crap they call small models that are maintenance intensive. Bookmark that. All your momentum are dust.
LMT makes better planes in the skunk works. Thie B47 is a market share bet, keeping the aeronautics giant solvent. In the industry, they look after their own. It's a funny business, this contract pays for the overun on the last one, common knowledge, and a given. Maybe it's less so, but I doubt it. The B47 is an amalgam of responses, the drone-captain role, and really an unnecessary component -- AWACS has filled the role up to now, but men flying planes look after men flying planes in a similar manner. The designation, B-47, is an embarassing ass-kissing, or a self aggrandizing move. Probably the later.
I'd be all over BA, and INTC, and I'd shop around for other defense stocks. No long-term losers. RTX, LMT, a toe in the water. Google, I compete with them, so no stock.

I have a Signal account.
I look at this and I wonder what they were thinking, we have much better security measures, Signal uses encryption, but no one really trusts that, the logic: the government would not allow a public encryption method they could not crack, or don't have a back door in.
There was a published hack of this sort just a short time ago on Microsoft platforms as I recall. Writing hacks happen every day it just takes perseverance. Nothing is safe to a determined party.
Aside from that, there is no formal record of the conversation, and with this kind of thing and in particular with Trump and his goons, we'd probably want that.
So, I recommend a policy of no use of Signal by Federal employees.
I have an experiment platform MMM and I have been working on. This is more the actual process: I describe a use case, I get an example, I ask about adding things, and the code updates, and we add more things, and so on and we end up with a prototype that works, probably compiles, and doesn't rot at the root.
Usually what we come up with initially is for a different use case. I spend a lot of time figuring this out. I should point out that MMM has started a long list of semi-useful code and routines that are three revisions further and in a repository; for a different use case. These things we do when the LM is owned by people that are good at code, and maybe a little short on insight. I say that, but I consider everyone a little short on insight. Don't blame me, it's empirical evidence, I just have not met you yet, tell yourself. I'm kidding, a little.
I have an experiment we've been working on, I said that didn't I? I came across another framework that I liked in some respects, but in practice, I did not build any kind of an MVP with it; I didn't like the plumbing. So I asked myself, what plumbing, and so here we are. The other thing, the architecture is so like me, it's like I invented it. That was humor too. I left out Kubernetes, Docker, Yada yada, and yada, constrained by someone else's plumbing was the entry fee.
Well, I already told you we were running an experiment, so that was it. The real beauty in this is how it worked out; the Kismet. I have a use for both use cases. I'm wondering if I need to turn it into something else real quick before MMM notices.
That's more humor.
I'm not working on that today, I just wanted to write something, so I get it over with before I talk about something important.
Before you start thinking all off a sudden the make-your-own-CPU-GPU club has invited me to join, that's not it. But I've been studying it. It's way more complicated than I recall, but the last die I was at home with was an iNtel 80186, embedded and MIL-STD variants. I don't want to make a GPU though, again MMM and I are inventing heat, that part is a secret.
Also on the menu today in an ad-hoc fashion, is some side thing biochemistry. Not a lot, but it's in the feed below. I mention it because I suddenly realized at some point that biochemistry actually can cure bad genes. I'm not looking at anyone in particular, but use your intution, your common sense, and think HMFIC in the oval.
That's enough character. Welcome to it.
It's post lunch. I'm having a soda.
I haven't seen Tapper lately, oh darn. At least he's not a Sununu, he'll swear to any lie that is on the Red menu. He always says, "I've been elected to 4 terms..." like that was a license to do anything other than to do something else; 4 times? It's someone else's turn, someone not a Son-of Sununu. The demographic speaks for your character. Lowest per capita for regular Americans and, the best place for rich folks. Is that prideful, or just boasting? Just checking.
Mr Sununu vetoed a 12-dollar-an-hour minimum-wage bill. You can't get a Happy Meal for 12 bucks. I have no respect for willful deception. I don't know what else one can call it.
I don't know what to think about this. So, they didn't have a Twitter, sorry X, account? This is uptown big pants thinking here, let's just throw this shit around the meta-versa and see what sticks. I credit Hegseth for the forward-thinking, though if you want to reach people, you should consider TikTok. I'd personally like a look inside Israel's nuclear weapons program, simple stuff to start, how many, what yield, and where does the U-23X signature originate? No really, they take the fingerprints of the stuff, it's all unique per batch. I bet it would tell tales, eh?
In seriousness, if I can manage it, this is exactly the kind of thing I'd expect a TV host turned SecDef would do. No surprise.
Mes amis, j'ecoute. Tu veux de la soupe? https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/13087/mulligatawny-soup-i/
Venus, Jupiter, the Moon.I was trying to enjoy my morning coffee and I switched on the cable news stock market channel, yeah that one, the integrity-for-sale network. I'm hard on them, some of the people are there for other reasons than the official line, as in to make a buck. I can related to that, and income is not on my list, paying taxes would be.
So it's tariff on, 45% on China this morning, or until he changes his mind, or someone drops money in the hat; I assume one of those, probably both. There was also some nonsense about anyone buying oil from Venezuela, or not bowing, or whatever it was that set the maniac off this morning. Fun times, eh Scotty?
There was all manner of spinnable AI speak on the stream earlier; NVDA about to speak at the sermon at the mountain of money, and people will listen, because there is all that cash piled up there, and it's sure to disappear like the marriage dreams of a Smith graduate.
The burn is more CPU, more GPU, more push, more margin, more large model baggage, more spend, less think.
What would you do with a brain if you had one, because this is not a brain. It's a log book. Don't get me wrong, a log book is a good thing. My memory is suddenly better, but I can not rely on a log-book to do much of a job deriving a differential equation without a lot of sweat. Sure, any solution, how about the best one?
There is news in the offing for that disease Jim. I read the paper last week. I think it's in the feed. Amyloidogenic, search for it above, I think it was a gene repair therapy drug, a cure not a treatment. I may be thinking of something else, I could ask a log-book-bot later, my memory, it all goes by so fast these days. CF Gene Therapy. NYT coverage Market Spin.
As it turns out it's in my research path because of the gene therapy thread, and the linkage mutation as a cause for Alsheimers and auto-immunity.
The problem I have is them, they are not the same team anymore, it's full of spies, commercial and otherwise.

It's that time again, there is so much to sample in our current mixed bloodstream of politics and gall. At times I feel like a mosquito on a sleeping slow-witted elephant, literally. The attention the administration garners while it steals the treasury, and starts shoveling all the booty into the wagon builds as the news turns the churn regularly. The president's motivation is something that escapes all of us, but whatever it is, we're positive it's not good. But as it's Sunday, we'll take our bite of Republican, and spit it out. Topic?
I seel like I'm on the skin of an political animal, a large, invisible beast hidden in plain sight. I'm no mosquito, official responsibility is not part of the price here where there is a free press, yet, and although it is early in the administration it's not impossible to predict outcomes. You hear the words in the speeches, and they go by like airships suspended by explosive gases. Hanging in mid air, waiting for the inevitable thunderstorm. Free speech, in a whisper, echoes.
America bleeds, for a better America. The underlying is the most often thought and never fully uttered phraseology of the day Self sacrifice for the greater good. But who is greater and what is good?
Often bloodletting doesn’t kill the patient, but no one could reasonably claim a cure from the practice. A patient bleeds until they start feeling better, and they stop going there. This is somehow a plan and a excuse for continued falied leadership in the face of tryanny.
Do you feel better America?
So who benefits from this game; let’s examine this in more detail.
I feel no need to cover the implosion at 45 degrees, due SOUEST of the market, and on the whole of every other financial metric in America. The analysts are wait and see, the Federal Reserve chair’s comments I’ve covered at length here earlier, is wait and see. I've published studied forecast of the market, and what that model predicted was stagflating economy, until someone undoes all the damage that's being done every day.
The function of an economy is opportunity for people, in America add a right to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The function of a government is to enable that for the people, all of the people.
Actually 2 eggs over easy is over 2 bucks. Bacon, I have no idea.Everything is more, everything will be more expensive for the foreseeable future. The rate of inflation slowed, but is not reversing direction.
The American consumer may be past waiting, they have seen a great deal; Inflation is still problematic, and prices are not falling. In this business environment, declining demand, declining margins, declining markets, there is no good news to abet the slide from inflationary, to recessionary, beyond into stagnation. This has not changed. The marker of failure, the merger and acquistions business, can smell the blood in the water.
Do I need to cover Elon, or are you familiar with the bloodletting and the results here?
There is bloodletting in the courts as well, that drip of justice bleeds away, with every condemned judge, every unduly dismissed case. Co-equal, a word an semantic out of fashion with todays political temperament. Every denial of justice for an immigrant, every government employee working for the betterment of the American people, bleeds from the selfishness and bad temperment. Layoffs and firing at the FBI and Justice, the intelligence community too.
The president has no right to interfere in judicial matters or its judgments or the Congressional legislated budget allocations. We're in court about it, aren't we.
The intelligence community and foreign policy at large suffer under oafish misteps and bombastic overreach by the Secretary of State. Someone has pushed Little Marco, the TV head of the State Department, the real leader, the negotiator; its the big boss man.
In this way, some portion of the intelligence community is also under the influence of this faction in their ranks, skewing intelligence like it was a politicials stump speech. Donald Trump's stump speech.
Often bloodletting an aliing or complaining patient was undertaken as a legacy cure, this was before science, before we knew better, before there was common sense you could say, to cure a disease or melady. It’s become clear the disease the president wishes to overcome is us. All of us.
Bloodletting takes a while to kill you.
I asked Cui Bene, that's, who's the !#(%ing bad guy in Latin.

It's just dusk here, 6 ish, and the sun has set. As usual, I've no tea to brew.
I'm for bed, a lot of time travel today.
As I typed that, the digital readout displayed 11:45 AM and the colon blinked on the second. Time passes. Perhaps I'll work on that project today, the time machine is oft-neglected, ever the more so as it really is impossible, at least in the terms we're accustomed to visualising it: no remotes, levers, magic wands, or Mr Spock. It's the actual movement between places with different curved space in an instant, presumably, part. Time passes here and is gone, you'd need somewhere else to go, that's the other thing, where it could be 'earlier', and you could be stuck there literally forever before you can blink. So a few problems for Marty and the Doc. No fusion power from banana-skins and beer. Probably mandatory, a way to deal with entanglement, and re-tangle yourself and your machinery, presumably in another part of the universe... hopefully. You first. Coming back? The clock runs on at home.
But I'm not certain anyone knows what time is, otther than the slow decay rate of an electron, or ... everything.
P(t) = exp( - t/ Lr ) --- L lorenz factor, a sort of multi-differential.

I'm a proactive person by nature. I try to see the long game. At golf I'm not such a long bet, a hole or two and I'm content with the company.
The productive part of my day was spent working on project purple. I may as well call it that now as other people in my sphere of relative interest seem to have asked about 'purple' surreptitiously and perhaps wondered about the project.
I don't talk about projects. I could describe a continuum of purple here, 4 or five stages, illustrative of my comfort and completion level of the various devices. I'll try. Give me a few minutes. How about a 2 x 4 matrix.
Well, data in, data out right?
The structure is hard to spot.
Actually, it was only a little like that, this is a GIF I made from phase III H theoretical orientations under continued compression, see the graph for insight. It's important to note that this is a hypothetical layer.
The theory is weak here. My though for today was to imagine the diffraction pattern caused by the fields that produced it.
The point of this paper I just read was to establish experimental accuracy limits. https://www.nature.com/articles/nphys625 I just wanted the phase diagrams. Kismet.

It was a lovely day in sourthern California, 72F and partly. Soon it's golden hour. Warm in the sun, watching it go, torn.
Tomorrow's weather looks promising. Probably pack a lunch, maybe a split of red or white and some cheese, water, chocolate, coffee in a thermos. Be kind, rewind. Pack out your trash, be kind to children and policemen. Maybe you'll see some cherry trees. Link.
A wait and see day, that's about it.
The usuals look usual today, let's see what Spanky and the Gang are up to aujourd'hui. They are wearing purple. Yes, I still have a purple project, its the very best one. I don't talk color. Tim is chartreuse and baby blue. I bet the cameraman is going nuts with the tint wheels. This is why I don't talk color.
The bolt of Zeus, I think. No, the Greek goddess of victory, Google says.

We are at the cusp, ask anyone. Pick a cusp, we're on it or way past it. I ponder what to say this morning, with the threats from the president not to mention his name in vain or suffer the indignant life of a slave who can't find a job ever again. If I had a pile of Bitcoin or a private island, or a former empire rusting in permafrost with a few nuclear weapons, why, I'd say !#(% you Donald. Sorry bud, I don't need a nuclear weapon and I live in California. !#(% you Donald.
They would never think it, and probably don't recall, and they are not the kind of a person that reads things like books or newspapers. I don't know why they are reading this column, so I assume I'm not talking about you, perhaps the rest of you. It's the Republicans, the ones in Red Hats and combat garb, and J.D. Vance. They are the wind in the sails of chaos. They need a different world. An indifferent different world.
When I was 8, I learned to come in second. It was polite not to always win. Living victory vicariously through others becomes a habit. A lesson unlearned can create a need, and an addiction. Lessons. A friend reminds me, and because it's in the papers it comes to mind. He lives it, "you can't pick your family." The push and pull of family and position make it harder. For some, it's pathological by puberty, no excuses necessary.
There is something in the nature of a man that seeks to rule. History would indicate that in most cases it is the height of self destructive behavior. To seek that which is not achievable is madness. To act as a god, is madness.
Our president is mad.

I've been meaning to comment all day, regarding the realization that this is a time to adjust the economy, presumably away from the consumer-driven inflation creating laissez-faire. No one seems to know where to take the economy though. If it's rebalancing, with the lower incomes earning enough to pay for the inflated prices that does not seem to be apparent in the tea leaves I've seen so far, quite the opposite.
The fix to all this is of course we will use government spending, as there will continue to be a need regardless of whether someone stopped payment on the check. As a segment of the economy, that sector promised better conditions and a lower cost of living. Once again, that does not seem to be apparent in the evidence I've seen so far, quite the opposite. This is the function of government, to secure a better life for its citizens; and ensure life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. There's no Trump in any of that.
I just want to know how the model works after you chop out a third without thinking. Serious question, Faster Money. The economy is a zero-sum game, getting more or less means someone else gets less or more. the exception is production, and in a consumer-driven economy, that production is wasted on the ephemeral; iPhones, LED TVs, Teslas, and Tesla stock. It is unproductive behavior excepting there is a product produced; the catch is, it is a consumable and does not add to wealth. Especially Tesla stock. Common trading practices are also contributory. Are we cutting analysts? Because by inference there will be less activity no matter which solution or non-solution emerges.
Factor that in.
I don't know how you move the line back to where it was before all this inflation, particularly in housing without sharing the wealth. I await your solutions.
As I rule I don't comment on foreign policy, diplomacy is a messy business. I can comment that this act is messy, leaving mayhem, confusion, and fear in its wake. If that is a desired outcome of the DJT FP we have a problem.
If it's just oafishness, and he has the House's member in his pocket. the alternatives are limited.
This does not mean anything has to change. If it's your bailiwick, it's really up to you. He can't fire everyone, and mismanagement knows no color. Eventually, there must be an end.
If our own FP that of the United States of America is scaring Americans and the markets in whose interest is it?
More despot is as despot does again today. He wants to control the news, and the intelligence community, and the Congress, and the people, and everything else.
Meanwhile, Congress is getting an earful, and soon it will boil over to the White House.
Let's make it a clean ... um... you know, fight like hell as the president predicted, I guess.

The same local assemblies that chose deputies for the Estates General also drafted cahiers de doléances, lists of complaints and demands for reform. The cahiers left no doubt that a majority wanted constitutional limits on the king’s powers, protections for individual rights, and an assembly chosen by voters to make the country’s laws.
I had a thought this morning of a weekend retreat, a concentration camp vibe with better food and less elbow room due to all the fellowship. You know what I mean? At the end of our weekend, we held a planning meeting, we discussed recruiting for the next meeting, go figure right, and part of it was footprints.
We tested an image of footprints on the beach, well, any one of many, will do for reference here. The image tested well on the recruiting PR for female recruitment; comments suggested women thought that the feet looked female, barefoot in the wet sand at the edge. There may be something else I missed here that is hidden in the image. Tell me.
I bring that up because we could use some of those footprints. Women, where are you? Please help these SDA men.

OF DONALD DRUMP
I"m calling it.
Call it what you like, the turn we take here leads to new territory, and we all know there can only be one outcome, the one we will allow; forestalled, litigated, or fought with bare knuckles and spit, it can only end one way.
Donald Trump, exit stage left.
Metaphorical Usage:
The phrase "exit stage left" is sometimes used metaphorically to describe someone leaving a situation or role in a non-dramatic, or even unnoticed, way.
Ya, that'll happen. Start's with a G, and rhymes with girly-jeans.
It's sunny today in California; it's usually sunny in California. I recall once wishing for a cloudy day, just for the variety. I was much younger then, maybe a week. This weather exposes us unfairly to temperatures approaching the winter range, and we're just not up to it. Many of us pass the time sitting in the sun, fully covered under a hat, enjoying the sun. I mean exactly that. This is winter at 65 degrees. Freezing.
I worked on Emma this morning, specifically an obscure algorithm of some sort, meaning I can't talk about it, I'm just a tease. Then I worked on the hyper-dense projects, In the plural, there are four devices, I can say devices. I should say use cases. No Buicks in this round, but who knows, maybe someday we'll own a neutron star and suitable machinery, and we can talk again. Or just a dipole. Did I say too much? I think not.
My uncle had a fast car, a 98 or something, with faux side exhaust vents on the finders. It was a rocket, man. This is nothing like the Buick I mentioned. His was something like this. The thought reminds me of Elon.
I loved those faux exhaust vents, it was like owning SpaceX.

It may be that green beer and flamboyant dress that is the decor of your life this evening, part of the pub crawl no doubt undeterred by a little thing like a Sunday to stop it, even if it did.
I have never been a fan of public inebriation, especially large groups of other people under the influence.
The juxtaposition of a wild drunken holiday right in the middle of Lent was no doubt a desperate hope.
It's a day of blurred lines, ala Larry Whats-his-face at the WH, or maybe it's Steven. Perhaps it's both: Mr Milller, the heroin-chic gaunt NASDAP type with the skinnish dome and the mouth on acid; Mr Lutnick, more of a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman version of the same cartoon character; a partyin' buddy of the Boss-man.
There is, of course, big oil and the increasing dependence of the American economy on power, power being where you dig it out of the ground, and no one is separating more for less from power. Still, that's the wooden block under the accelerator; drill, baby, you're years late already.
That's the other dilemma, the crunch of demand and supply. That is more inflation, and more energy inflation means more inflation in everything that uses energy: making it, transporting it, selling it, or using it. All of it.
That's not the end of it. Most of his crazy-MAGA-schemes take more years to realize than he'll be in office.
By then, Rahm Emmanuel could be president and retro-repro-!#(%) Trump's edicts back to Mar-a-Lago.
This is a mystery. How to plan, conceive, sell, implement, and apologize for a Ponzi scheme with a 2-4 year payoff that would take 10 years to evaluate and correct.
Children, Mr Miller and Mr Lutnick are why we can't have nice things. Without his pawns, where is the King?
The economy is in recession, and until we count to three on the calendar it can't be official, an eventuality that usually exacerbates the recession, and inflation and labor demands because of inflation cause a stagnating economy.
That all happened last week, and in three months they can all agree, officially.
Some notice the change from a consumer economy to something else or call it that. With no answer on what the something else is. Those with a monetary point of view may notice the shift to a regressive tax structure, perhaps an end to the income tax, and no mention of other income streams except more regressive solutions to repair the budget, or the people that depended on it. Separating 10 dollars each from Americans with 100 dollars and Americans with 100 million dollars.
The president, Mr. Miller contends, is fine with the separation of powers, as long as the powers are separated from the other two branches justified by some creative reading of the Constitution at the local Bund meeting.
In this milieu, the president has seemingly alit on Harry Potter Ville and took the stop at the Wand Shop literally. Donald, it's a scam. Still, he persists, talking the pig slice because no one stops him.
What wand, Mr president?

I got all the way through the reading list yesterday and today, and fed the models. At this point they are not especially helpful -- this is why it is not AI. People patern match, define boundaries, seek solutions; bots just insert fact A into factoid B for the most part, acquiring new facts in batches one presumes at regular intervals.
As I said, I abondoned this model ilong ago bound as I was by the limitted resources of the times, that which was unclear was clear earlier.

The resource elasticity of control
https://elifesciences.org/reviewed-preprints/105507v1
the value of initiating a pursuit in temporal decision-making
Quote from https://elifesciences.org/reviewed-preprints/105507v1
Knowing the elasticity of control is necessary for deciding whether and how to act. Failing to achieve one's goal, for example, should only lead one to invest more resources in an elastic environment. Critically, in many real-life domains (e.g., studying for an exam), we must use our experiences to infer the degree to which we can improve our outcomes by investing more resources16-20. Failure to do so is bound to result in maladaptive behavior, and may thus contribute to mental health disorders. Depressed patients, for instance, are less willing to expend their resources to obtain control21,26-27, which could result from an underestimation of elasticity. Conversely, the repetitive actions that characterize obsessive compulsive disorder patients24 could indicate that such patients overestimate elasticity, believing that the additional efforts they invest will yield progressively better outcomes. Ultimately, not having a good grasp of how one's additional efforts influence outcomes is bound to undermine one's sense of agency 14-15.
If you don't want to read all that.... Here's a summary.
Okay, I've read the preprint "The resource elasticity of control" by Solomyak et al. Here's a thorough comment, focusing on the psychopathology linkage, testing, and results, as you requested:
Summary of the Study
The study investigates how people understand and utilize "elasticity of control." The authors argue that in real-world situations, control over outcomes often depends on the amount of resources (effort, time, money) invested. This is "elasticity of control." They developed a treasure hunt game to test if people infer this elasticity, if individual differences in this inference lead to maladaptive resource use, and if these differences are associated with psychopathology.
Psychopathology Linkage
Rationale:
The authors connect the concept of control and its misestimations to various psychopathologies. They hypothesize that:
Underestimation of elasticity (or control) could be related to depression (reduced willingness to expend resources).
Overestimation of elasticity could be related to obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) (repetitive actions based on a belief that more effort will yield better outcomes).
Overall, a poor understanding of how effort influences outcomes undermines the sense of agency, a key factor in mental health.
Measurement:
Participants completed self-report questionnaires assessing:
Sense of Agency (SOA)
Dysfunctional attitudes towards problem-solving (NPOQ)
Temperamental differences (TEMPS-A)
A selection of questionnaires assessing Anxious-depression, Compulsive behavior and intrusive thought, and Social withdrawal.
Analysis:
Canonical Correlation Analysis (CCA) was used to examine the relationship between model parameters (representing individual biases in elasticity inference) and the psychopathology scores.
Results:
CCA showed a significant correlation between model parameters and psychopathology measures.
The elasticity prior parameter (γelasticity) had the highest loading, suggesting its strong contribution to the correlation.
Psychopathology loadings were dominated by impaired sense of agency (SOA), obsessive-compulsive symptoms (OCD), and social anxiety (LSAS).
Depression scores (SDS) received a negative loading, aligning with the idea of reduced resource expenditure in depression.
A distinct psychopathological profile involving a distorted sense of agency was associated with a bias in elasticity inference.
Testing
Task Design:
The "treasure hunt game" was innovative in its attempt to separate controllability and elasticity.
Participants made choices about how many "tickets" to buy to increase their chances of boarding a vehicle to a treasure location.
Planets varied in:
Inelastic controllability (probability of success with one ticket)
Elastic controllability (degree to which extra tickets increased success)
This design allowed the researchers to examine how participants adjusted their resource investment based on the environment's properties.
Computational Modeling:
The authors developed two competing reinforcement-learning models:
Controllability model: Learns the control afforded by each level of resource investment separately.
Elastic controllability model: Infers the elasticity of control.
Model comparison showed that the elastic controllability model better explained participants' behavior, suggesting that people do infer elasticity.
The models were fitted to participants' choices to derive individual biases in elasticity inference.
Strengths of Testing:
The task was designed to be sensitive to overestimation of elasticity.
The use of computational modeling provided a quantitative way to assess individual differences in elasticity inference.
The inclusion of both an initial study and a replication study strengthens the findings.
Pre-registration of the studies increases transparency and reduces the risk of bias.
Results
Key Findings:
People infer the elasticity of control and adapt their resource allocation accordingly.
Individual biases in elasticity inference (particularly overestimation) lead to a mismanagement of resources.
Overestimation of elasticity is associated with elevated psychopathology involving an impaired sense of agency.
Interpretation:
These results suggest that the elasticity of control is a distinct cognitive construct that guides adaptive behavior.
They also provide a computational marker for control-related maladaptive behavior.
The findings highlight the importance of understanding how people learn and utilize information about the relationship between effort and control in both typical and atypical behavior.
Comments and Considerations
Strengths:
The study is well-designed and executed, with a clear research question, appropriate methodology, and rigorous analysis.
The use of a novel task and computational modeling is a strength.
The findings have important implications for understanding the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying control-related behavior and psychopathology.
Limitations and Points for Further Research:
The authors acknowledge that the task is simpler than real-life scenarios, and that elasticity biases are likely to be amplified in more complex environments.
The study design was particularly sensitive to overestimation of elasticity. Future studies could investigate the underestimation of elasticity and its potential relationship to different psychopathological profiles (e.g., depression).
The correlational nature of the findings does not establish causality. Longitudinal studies are needed to determine the causal relationship between elasticity biases and psychopathology.
Further research could investigate how elasticity biases vary across different resource types (e.g., money, time, effort).
Overall, the study provides compelling evidence that people infer the elasticity of control and that biases in this inference are associated with psychopathology. The findings contribute to our understanding of the cognitive and computational mechanisms underlying control-related behavior and have potential implications for the development of interventions for mental health disorders.

...so to speak. I put it all over here
