Sundipped Sunday
Look at the time; it's officially December, effective today, and of course, it is a Sunday, and if it is Sunday or Thursday (excepting federal holidays), it's sundipped.Â
That's getting to be a long meme. Speaking of long memes, what's the topic?
King for a Day
The Invisible Mandate
The Secretary of Self-Defense
The Pretend Presidency
Chattanooga or Bust
More as time and energy allow.
King for a Day
He's said it himself, we all heard it, just for one day. That was the promise. Technically i think the noun was 'dictator' but, if the duck fits...
It has been nearly a month now and King Donald the First has not yet taken the oath of office, never put that hand on the Bible, never pledged his allegiance to America. Not that the gesture would mean anything to him in any case.Â
He's not been knighted or anointed and is not even widely admired, just marginally elected.Â
There was no mandate. Not that it would matter. In his mind, it was a landslide, and the Dems just wanted to make him look bad. again.
The day that lasted forever, maybe.
The Invisible Mandate
The news is just in. It was a squeaker. Trump won the election this time at least, that's what the polls indicated the Trump conspiracy probably had a more challenging time cheating this time than last time, though that's a moot point. No one will ever investigate this election.Â
Our king-in-chambers is now the king-in-waiting, and he boldly admits how he pulled himself out of all that time, better than Al Capone, he may consider. Al Capone died in prison for tax evasion. Hisoner scoffs at taxes.Â
All the people he can pay money to will, by contract, try to keep him out of Dutch with everyone. He pays some of those men a lot of money to tell him what to do. I somehow feel, at some level, it has to be the other way around. No one ever left a well-pointed tool unused. Who holds those strings?Â
He is well-schooled and a good gardener. He'll dig wherever the last person to make an impression pointed. What's needed is men with shovels like Hitler had men with shovels.Â
There is no mandate, and somehow, he knows he's a lame duck the moment he lies with his hand on that Bible in January.Â
He has to get what he can while he still has you scared shiftless.
The Secretary of Self-Defense
We all see the plan. Throw so many bad choices at the fire that it smothers the flames. We've seen 5, maybe 6, real Trump-approved losers get nominated for the highest-appointed offices in the land. In this time of needful change, this indicates a change to loyalty, fealty, fidelity, in deference to a leader who deserves none of it.Â
Secretary of Defense
Attorney General
Director of the FBI
Director of National Intelligence
and more
It's not that all of the nominees are that bad, ok, some of them were and are that bad, but everyone is ready to bow on day one, and day one has already started, weeks ago. There is no mandate here; it's just bluster. Can you imagine it?Â
These are all measures to seize the reigns of power, and with Hitler's shovelers and generals, he's ready to make some bottomless holes.
The Pretend PresidencyÂ
Astute observers of politics and human nature will recognize the pattern. By His Highness's estimation, this has already been the most extraordinary presidency ever; no one has seen anything like this before. Perhaps that exact thought, no doubt.Â
We recall the boasting about the economy that let loose the dogs of capitalism and tax relief for the wealthy; we had an excellent economy, gas was so cheap, and food was cheaper. why you could eat all day for a dollar. In the evenings, Rainbo Brite often would stop by and sing to the children, lulling them to sleep on beds of heather and jasmine.Â
And then he was impeached twice and lost the re-election. Old news. Ditto.Â
Even before he was sworn in, his faux-hirsuteness was threatening world leaders with mayhem and financial destruction in the form of immediate tariffs, and that was the message to our allies, Mexico and Canada.Â
Chattanooga or Bust
In China, he's a bit stuck; his foot in his mouth, I mean, if he does what his big toe says, kiss the label of most extraordinary president of all time goodbye. Even NBC PR couldn't pull that off, even with Matt Lauer. Elon is in China as a supplier, a customer, and a competitor. Which ego wins, ya think?
The net for a sure bet here is that there will be no Chinese EVs sold in America, though they cost a third of what a Tesla costs.Â
The economy is chugging, and anyone who puts a quarter on the track is about to learn about the power of the markets, including presidents by the way. Just another foot, you may be thinking. He's still only has two. Counting his blessings, I'm sure, at some level.Â
He could start a war and be a hero. That would probably work. It will be difficult for the wars we already have to not get out of control; just one little threat too far..... and I won't go there.Â
Let's pretend Mexico is on its knees, and Canada is set to genuflect on command in the coming days.Â
Let's pretend this works. What a great move, ya? A Kodak moment.

How can I say this without being unkind.Â
Fug that.
Let's all have a laugh.
Evening TeaÂ
I love evening tea. I never have any actual tea, but I never have many things and don't seem to notice. Anyway, without cream, it coats the palate. Who keeps cream?Â
There you have it, another fantastic inductive exercise. I may be reading too much physics.Â
Anti-Anthropomorphic Lead
This computer is called Durga. I like the Frazetta pastiche in this image. Deification is unintentional in this manifestation.Â
I've been pushing the laptop around, doing my usual things, looking for gremlins. Just a few.Â
I have my own Automator scripts for certain things, and one of them needed a security clearance since the pave-over. Fixed. One less broken thing.Â
It has been smooth... Ish.
ShoppingÂ
While out and about, I shopped for new sneakers and got a warranty replacement for the privacy screen on my phone, which was a little chewed up. Zagg, a friendly saleswoman, even put the new one on for me.Â
The sneaks, slip-on Vans, the ones with the Victory flag checks. It's like not having feet.Â
I made a mental list of all the things I had put off refreshing until a big sale or something, but now that Trump is driving the economic bus, everything is on sale; no matter what it costs, it will cost more tomorrow.Â
Socks, t-shirts, skivvies, sneaks -- all made NOT in the USA.Â
I'm a little hyper from all the retail therapy emulating excess, but I'll stop shaking soon, I'm sure. /g
My DayÂ
I've had the 15 iAir laptop at the Apple shop; they paved it over and installed 14.7, I've completed the backup restore and the app restore, and I'm just waiting for 15.1.1 to download.
That's sucked up my whole day since 9:45 AM.
Apple, you know i love you ( sorta ) but this is supposed to work without requiring a full time job as a maintenance and operations employee to manage the OS.
Just kicking the tires on the restored 15, I make it 6 hours of my time. Apple, you owe me $1200.

I love these times. What did the CBS head say, Trump is bad for America, but good for CBS?Â
I don't think Trump and Elon are good for anyone, even each other, but the columns write themselves.
I Love Elon
I think this is an imaginary thing. If it was math it would be a function that goes to zero plotted over time.

Elon's Australopithecine Army
The apple never falls from the cesspool, and I'd never presume to think otherwise. As in the leadership of DOGE which is eitherdog spelled very badly or has some other meaning I cannot discern. I've seen the candle, $25 seems a bit much for a prayer candle with a plastic insert.
Maybe it's less in billionaire money.
I think he posed for that image, it looks unretouched. Close examination is edifying, conclusions are yours not mine, but' it's clear the dog is the smart one, or is that telling tales?
A pale pink linen robe, should we google that?
He has a following. Like the crowd of peasants looking for tossed nickels in the movies as the white jaguar roars away.
Heads WIll Roll
He hasn't said that yet, but he has brought a sink to work on his first day once. We're all thinking, 'and the kitchen sink', because it was a kitchen sink I think, and Elon's Easter Eggs turned out to be about 'it sinking in' and about a month later, Twitter was smaller. It gets smaller everyday.Â
The sink, a shot across the bow that heads were going to do that thing that sounds decisive and managerial but is really about broken mortgages, broken marriages, and broken homes.Â
That's what the sink really meant.
GTFO
Ok, it doesn't spell a misspelled word. Ok, it also spells a misspelled word. I would hold it outpaces DOGE, it could be many mispelled words.Â
Still, D on't L et T he D oor H it Y ou I n T he A ss O n Y our W ay O ut.
DLTDHYITAOYWO ... it's just unworkable.
That's what we'd all like to tell Elon to do with his sink.
Musk Attacks!
If you can't beat 'em, beat the !#(% out of them, not yet a meme, but Jan 20 is weeks away. Elon is pre-annoucing where the sword of Damacles is to fall, and best be looking up all. I heard Fahreed saying, gee maybe this time the radical budget fix without cutting anything crucial or good movement that is perpetually undertaken in new administrations will have a happy ending. It's like walking the dog after it eats I guess, the dog always poops where ever it wants.
Anyway, don't hold your bowel movement for any change.
What To Do
First, have a laugh. Elon labors under the misconception of his own image. If I have to spell it out, if someone is digging themselves in deeper, don't stop them.
Second, don't do stupid stuff, don't abet stupid stuff. You get to decide what's stupid.Â
It is SOOOO easy.
Busy Busy Day
Just busy. Nothing to note.Â

There are reports on the cable that perhaps Russia blew up a DHL cargo plane on approach; it's not clear how close the approach was or what the cargo was.Â
Lazy Lazy
On the work agenda for today, for fun I watched some videos on GUT and vector calculus. I said work, didn't I?Â
One video on derived universes caught my attention and that was almost work. It didn't have enough math, but that's the trouble: there isn't a lot that works.Â
I've been toying with vector calculus and Eigenvectors. The DIV and CURL, etc, predictors they are. I worked on imaginary math to keep up with some of the videos. I've been here with electronics, which is more almost like work stuff. The time some YouTubers have invested in these topics is astounding.Â
Somewhere part of me begins to wonder why I ever struggled with some of these things.
Kevin OLearyÂ
He's back man. Or was it Dennis?Â
Hi to Abby, stand-in from the radio; I was a listener. Greetings to the whole panel and that poor excuse for humanity... Scott Pilgrim.Â

Markets
What have I been saying?
Open Question for Your Experts
I'd like the answer to a question from your experts; I'll ask mine as well and keep you in the loop.
Assume 25% on Mexico and Canada and 10% tariff increase on China, profit squeezes for the weak, market sell off, rate cut pass next meeting, inflation ticks up a good 5 % and some supply chain instability -- use the pandemic for a model and apply a coefficient (percentage).
What effect does all this have on the market? Assuming it happens, I guess saying it twice after you've already nominated the post is like reality.Â
Next, what is the effect of devaluing the currency in that environment, and where does gold go?Â
Other experts with opinions on Fed 1,5 and 10-year rates have at it. I tend to think of this as the brake.Â
(Yes, I already know the answer; this is my thing, patterns, but I'll prime a bot)
Closed BellÂ
Leadership is about sharing; that's why most people don't grok. A leader who leads people shares the load and the benefit; if there is a lack of balance, you end up with Amazon.Â
And speaking of balance, how much farther out of balance does America need to get? I have previously mentioned people rob banks because that's where the money is. Where is your money, anyway?Â
A sale estimate is helpful if someone will buy it, or can, or would. I may hint that the home market is grossly overvalued, and with financing costs and income requirements, the buyer's market is 30 % less of the buying public (fact!).Â
Fast Money Prequel
Mad monkey is a menace.Â
My pal Guy always wears a tie.Â
So, he wants to believe in a Chinese fairy tale, and that Musk will save our trade. This guy should be a screenwriter.

Trade War
So, buy your socks and underwear now, quick before inflation hits. No, we don't make that stuff here.
Next come the profit squeezes, the layoffs, the inflation, and the screwed-up supply chains all over again.
Panic, in 5 letters. Starts with a T? Just like a Pandemic, good analogy , ya?
And May the Odds Be Ever in Your Favor

Boris
Um, no to that, don't let him get away with anything. There's no mandate.
Mr. JoeÂ
Will all the people who wanted the best for America and Mr. Joe please stand up?Â
(I'm standing.)
I noticed you pardoning those turkeys on CNN today, right after the announcement that Jack Smith is 'pardoning' that other turkey. Mr. T, isn't that fitting? Like it was written in red spray paint on a Tesla, Mr. Terror, Mr. TrustMe, and the giblets too probably won't see justice. We're sick about it. Â
So, I wanted to let you in on the secret. We're on the same team. Well, what's a team? I made a team, and you've been on it. People who want the best for America are on it.Â
You're still on the team, so no joyriding in the 'Vette with that blonde woman you married, nose to the project plan buddy, buck up; this is big boy business, and we're all out of bubble gum.Â
I just wanted to remind you, we love ya man.
And please pardon us all for the nonsense he's going to make up about us, literally.

It's just more pressure. Elon's immigrants will be fine as long as Elon and Trump get along, which may be over already. The rest, I'm sure there will evolve some kind of gratuity with a cut to pass on, it's a mob, right?Â
Looks like the lettuce will get picked, and the rest of the economy will sweat and wait for the other Federal Agency to drop.Â
With all the pushback, I'm not ready to say he'll succeed at anything. Above all, look after the financial markets; this man intends to ruin the economy, and the country, declare martial law, and never leave. All schemes lead to that end. P 25 is just another bees nest to throw at the government.

Sundipped SundayÂ
Here we are, and it's another Sunday. The week has rotted from the bottom up, starting with the nominee Gaitz (after a week I bothered to check the spelling, I did not think I'd have to type it often enough to matter, and that's over) and ending with the nominee Gabbard; in between, we've had a pocketful of people, picked, preferred, proffered and probably pushed aside. So, let us find something to talk about. If it's Sunday or Thursday, it's sundipped.
Pick-A-Peck
Pickled Peckerwoods
Gambled Goombas
Discarded Dumpsters
Gambled Goombas
Discarded Dumpsters
More as time and energy permit.
Pick-A-Peck
I don't want to belabor this plan of Trump's. Pick a peck of people with problems and dump them all at once on the media and a beset Congress and create a hurricane that a flying Buick (or a Russian agent) could get lost in. While the mayhem ensues, pick one or two to throw in the bag that will end up in the office, just by relativity.Â
I've spoken before on this: the Venn diagram, the trusted and the competent, never intersecting, and darts thrown at the outlying areas to spot what is achievable.Â
That wouldn't be so bad if we had people with no baggage in critical places. Putting a patsy in charge of Agriculture will surely not win the small farm vote for example, but we still eat.Â
Similarly, letting Dr. Odd talk before your shingle doesn't return anything meaningful unless you hold stock in kale and hard-rind vegetables.Â
But a fund manager in the Treasury? Say goodbye to it.Â
This wild-eyed Trump-ette as AG? Just as scary and not as lewd, what baleful criteria is this?Â
A Russian agent (some say) as DNI? This must be a typo.
I struggle to find even one nominee who isn't a puppet or a stooge....and the circus plays on.Â
Apologies to Curly, Larry, Moe, and sometimes Shemp.
Pickled Peckerwoods
Oh man, the crap we have to deal with. I don't even want to think about the character of some of the nominees; it's that bad. The news could be X-rated with the testimony. Definitely a passel of peckerwoods in a pickle.Â
It seems the perfect person for a Trump position is practiced pushing the envelope, Trump's envelope, and possesses a history checkered enough to make an easy mark for the papers when he turns. Trust me, he turns on everyone. Some of them are so pickled they comply and are pulled back in, the regular peckerwoods;Â the scary crazy ones with purpose.
If you had your pickle in a barrel and someone bobbed for it, and it's more or less official, you're just the kind of nominee for the job. Any job. He's not building a working cabinet; he's building a house of cards.Â
I have been warning you he's out to wreck the currency.Â
Gambled Goombas
There is a closed group of allies; they've been with Ol' Yellow Stain since the beginning. They are so sly that they barely have police records, any of them. They gambled on Donnie way back, plied his peccadilloes, paid his penalties, and pitched his plans. Since Merv Griffin it has been a bit dicey.Â
That little disagreement cost a lot of goombas a lot of money, probably on both sides. Donald wrote it off on someone else's taxes and his, to the tune of a billion dollars, thanks to GHWB.Â
They are there, though, in the back expecting their cut. They figure they own a piece of Mr Real Estate larceny.Â
This time, he better pay off.
He loves being on the edge of death and bringing us along for the ride. Â
Self-destructive is part of the profile. Misanthropic, check.
Discarded Dumpsters
Also known as former Trump visionaries, piled like tinder. Once he gets a mark to break the law, he moves on. Steve the Sandanista is one of them. Caught with his fingers in the wall-building fund and having served, he's now a convict. Somehow, that matters. Trump is a felon, thirty-something times over. Rudy? Too painful to put in print.
He's not alone; CNN is chock full of defectors, having seen the decor, decide maybe the media dumpster at least has better food. It's still a dumpster, purpose-built, permanent, and pernicious.Â
The line forms to the right, and the dumpsters are around the back, overflowing with discarded loyalists.Â
When this is over, this four-year prison term America has to serve, there's a particular dumpster in the back, painted gold, with five letters on it. Five letters, starts with T, and ends up in the dumpster?Â
Anyone?
Pardon the P's Please

Ask anyone; learn to cheat at golf, better, instead Donald.Â
Treasury can only be a negative pick, there's no one he could would pick that would could be positive.Â
I was somewhat amazed Mnuchin didn't drive the bus of a pier. He just wanted his signature on the money, I think. It was an actual photo op. A sheet of 100's.

The Chock-Full-O-Cabinet / Take 2
It seems Ex-President supercriminal Donald has yet to pick an uncontroversial nominee. Honestly, where are the Bushes? This is your team. This guy will back you up first. You are the threat to his dynasty if you can call this collection of crooks, criminals, call girls, goons, and goofballs a dynasty.Â
Trump wants it that way; he's not that smart, he is good at blackmail and media manipulation. Most of these people have stuff in the closet that would make your mother scream. Somesay especially Musk. Never was a more willing patsy for other people's excellence paid for by excessive profits and government contracts. How many out-of-wedlock children does Elon support? Twelve. Character? As in cartoon.Â
Even the Kennedys are screaming.
The Life and Times
It should be clear, Sador of the Mar-a-Lago wants a hit team to destroy America and rebuild it with a few golden statues of him and green gruel in the lunch pail of everyone who disagrees.
He's got only two years until the next election to execute this bum's rush and put the machine of mayhem and media malpractice in motion.Â
Cover your bum.
You cannot resist me. I want your planet to be my colony. Your harvest comes in seven risings of your red giant. I will return then, and you will accept me as your master. If you do not submit, your planet and all life on it will be burned to ash.

Maybe no case, maybe no evidence, maybe money, maybe tv. Maybe bifurcated justice.
Evening TeaÂ
I've just gotten distracted. I had a conversation today about one of my projects with MMM, and created some objects.
NotebookLM
Later I made some more and fed them to Google Notebook LM. It's basically a build-your-own model by training with text content, like books, for example. You can then query this with voice or text to cram or whatever. Tell it how much you know first, so you don't spend time in grade school.
Anyway, there's a fascinating new feature called Discussion; it generates a discussion with 'agents expert in the topic matter' who will discuss the sources with each other for your benefit. In one case, a couple. I didn't mention the best parts.
You should try it.
Google bolted all this stuff down recently. Two factor everything you can.
Take Two
So we're gonna do all this again for AG and this time he shook the tree really hard and found a suitable nut. This nominee passes muster in some smaller context, I'm sure the requisite kneeling, kissing, and deference were in evidence.
Meanwhile, the Dept of Def candidate dangled his tags and jiggled them over a disclosure document signee, and Ms McMahon for Dept of Education was apparently aware of wierd-ish orgasmic exercises in and out of the squared circle. We'll be teaching the kids, Hulk-a-mania run wild maybe.
Here we go, here, we, go.
You know, winning is gonna kill these guys.
Sundipped ThursdayÂ
I didn't forget, it's been a busy morning. Looking at the news I see topics begging for a stick to be shaken at them, and we'll pick one an have it. Let's see, I've got it. If it's Thursday or Sunday, its sundipped.
Takeover Trump
Our Plebiscite
Peopled Promises
Extraordinary Prejudice
Peopled Promises
Extraordinary Prejudice
Takeover Trump
It's like this was all planned out. The rate of release, the predictable passion plays, the achievable acrimony, the extraordinary excuses and in the end, nominees who shouldn't be in charge, will be the figure heads of our government, the ring-leader measuring their acceptability by the height in inches with which they respond.
The Four CorpseMen (and women) of the would-be cabinet are well known, even the three that are left. Although a bevy of begotten bigots will become bureaucrats, the media and the standups speak of the relative calm in the eventual cabinet.
I think we can expect a revolving door. Chaos breeds contempt.
The takeover can't really get traction without a puppet at Justice. How about the rest of the argument?
Our Plebiscite
The results are partially in, and more people voted for Trump, but fewer people voted for Harris as well in blue states or didn't vote. That results in a claim of popular vote victory and, at the same time, discounts the math.Â
I said it before. It's not a landslide; it's a mudslide. I won't belabor the analogy with an explanation; take your shot.
False ClaimÂ
Even when the election results show victory, it's not the victory he claims. It's difficult to imagine the mindset that pursues a candicacy after losing after one term, two impeachments, and a party that won't answer the phone anymore; getting inside the head that pursues that out of greed, or to evade justice to predict what he's thinking is beyond the best chess playing bot.Â
Whatever it is, we need to stop it, I'm quite positive.
Peopled Promises
The end of this election cycle will be dissected by sharper knives than mine, though mine are quite pointy, belaboring all that is counterproductive.Â
Those who voted in increasing numbers have expectations. Everyone has an expectation.Â
None of those expectations are likely to meet expectations. There's no sense to the mix, and picking and choosing among the mix results in an economy with multiple heads, and likely only one eats regularly.Â
Eating better regularly was among the expectations, and cheaper. Cheaper is not going to happen.Â
Money Money Money
Inflation is already taking hold, and the market is having coniptions, unsure who to fire or who to hire, or where to look.Â
Maybe that's the bill he wants to come due so he can declare an emergency and deputize the military to supervise the gas lines and food riots.Â
Likely, there's no way to avoid it except for King Trump the First to do nothing. This man can't sit still. He'll find something to fuck with. He's mentioned changing the reference currency as a prelude to the end move in his politic. We can't arrest him for that. Where does the unfettered wander? Who can say?Â
There would be no more elections after that, no more cheating. Check.
There are wars to win. He could be a hero in his own mind, maybe?
Extraordinary Prejudice
He wanted Hitler's generals, most of whom tried to kill him or would have by the end.Â
Talk about dreaming big.
CRM-114Â
Attack Wing Plan R
MarketsÂ
We're up and progressing, dragging all those perceptions into the light.Â
Morning Carl
How is the fam? NVDA eh? How many holes to fill Albert Hall? You don't need a bot, do the math.Â
Housing Markets
Number two: here's the thing: most people can't afford a home anymore, 33 percent by recent reporting -- half the pandemic level.Â
It's not inventory. Look at what you get for 500k in LA. Let me guess what this guest holds. There is a lot of fault to share, but it's mostly the American dream, nee the myth of wealth building by flipping. There is a lot of inventory; it's a bad bet. Who knows what will happen, as no one can fix it without paying people enough to afford it?

Energy
I don't work on that, or even take notes until all the Trumps are out of office. But yes, cost of delivery is the cost of a Trump election. To hell that POS, I've met him twice.
Google Chrome
I think this is BS. Spin off search. The browser displays HTML and search as a directory service serrvice it should be nearly non-profit and ubiquitous. Bing is a joke. Search for 'windows' on Bing and get Windows Advertisements; even the hint of de-monopolizing MS is not allowed. Them first as a general rule, they own the corporate and government desktops and as many servers.
So search, where the sense of a separate entity makes sense. Of course, Google will object. I would, too. But MS flavor search is a sales opportunity, and META is a paycheck; Google has never done that. Â
A better solution would be to enable equal access to search, but most people choose Google because it's better. That is not going to change. That's good for us; it's advertisements that all the commotion is about. Most of us would give money to get rid of all of them, so piss off Zuckerberg and Ballmer.Â
Google may be large, but it's not a vampire, /hint /hint.
Fucking up the mix, why, to make it easier to rip us off with predatory offerings like Instagram?

Up early in the morning freeze (44 degrees in Ca) for a seminar, it devolved into an economic discussion, equal access to energy alternatives.

Evening Tea
It was a pretty good day all in all, a little cool. Winter in so Cal, in the big cold wet river they speak of on the weather channels. It may be those 3 or 4 days when rainboots are required. I have some in my shopping cart online. I plan on checking the weather first.
Ms AbbyÂ
He receives the cabinet we deserve, screw his non-existant mandate (see below). We wouldn't want Donald to treat America like a rented sportscar on a wild weekend in Vegas. Who am I kidding, he's owned Casinos. The debauchery must be epic, becond Puff Daddy epic.
Fated Faded GaitedÂ
We need to approve a crook to ask the crook-tough questions. That's two. "Did you pay that teeny bopper, and can I get her number?"
Trump's Number One
Do I have your spare socks in my pocket.
Abby's Supposition
"Why aren't some of these self interested ass kissers men and women of color?" (I took some license.)
Those people aren't that stupid? I feel like I'm edgy this evening. I can't imagine the cause. Perhaps it's coping skills, finding humor in the absudrd and evil because we're forced to watch the boil congeal.
What The Duck Anyway
My read says Democrats stayed home. That's not a landslide, it's a mudslide.

I don't think Ms G is getting anywhere near anything secret, that's just not how that place works. I wonder how she got this far, but I know his type. Â
I'm stunned as if all this is just a Marvel movie, and Captain Marvel will surely rescue us from the infidel. I have a feel for the gravity of things; it may be broken.Â
Please, Ms Marvel, come and rescue us.Â
I have had clearances, nothing that may compare to the close-up of a life these roles do and should require. I always felt I was inviting 'that network' into my life, and I never could stray far unnoticed, evermore. As if I ever.Â
Stick A Fork In It
I'm not sure why were carrying on about this, are we trying to convince the king-in-waiting that we're just not having this? Let me help.
I don't even have to list the names of any of then. Those DNEI nominees and caricatures.Â

I left you hanging.Â

Today I'm breaking after lunch for a bit, I've worked all day already. Much research, some cleanup, some de-dupe, some move to offline storage, delete some stuff, yada yada yada

Let's chill.
Best Done is Well Begun
I don't remember that one exactly, it's something like that. Tomorrow I have an unusual appointment: a battery seminar. Not Duracells or Energizer Bunnies, new physics in storage.Â
I expect a lot of materials science, including lithium ions in some substrates. I've been there, but I want to know where they've been.Â
I've just updated the resource document.
I'm way ahead in this I see. Sorry for the [invalid links] google the phrase in those cases.
MacOS 15.1.1
Other than that, I'm not sure what I'll work on today. I just updated the 15 Air to MacOS 15.1.1. I am about to look into the changes in the .1 release. It's a security release, apparently a 0-day or active compromise in progress; update your i-Stuff.

Evening Tea
I don't have tea. I'd love tea. Earl Grey, honey, heavy cream or steamed half-and-half. It's a metaphor, anyway.Â
I've been busy and it's dark already, which makes me wonder where the day went.
Ms AbbyÂ
MAGA is big speakers and rubber in all four gears. Pffft. I met one of a group of men collecting signatures against Newsom at one point, a self proclamed 3 percenter.Â
... in a Yugo. Either that or a Nova, my memory is a little fuzzy.
Either the perception of this as manhood as a societal integrand is maladjusted or ... well there is no alternative.
It would seem to me that MAGA is immasculating, in reality. It's not about lifting up the lower middle class, that's just the desperate echo of their faint hope. The difficult part is it's about realizing this movement isn't about them, and that's a loss eventually we'll have to deal with.
Loud and Proud MAGA-ites.
Who was roasted on that Island of Flies?Â

Of those four, you have to be kidding. The rest of the sack of nuts is almost as bad. He's putting oafs with good teeth in charge with ill intent. He never had another intent, who are you kidding. Of all of them, Rubio makes medium sense. but I don't see a Cuban closing the border or deporting millions, at least not without weapons training and directions to Cuba. There's no sense to the insanity even. Dr. Odd to do what, sell all natural Slurpees made with juiced Kale and an eye of newt?
Linda McMahon, of wrestling fame. BS-a-Mania is going wild on us all.
We've shown deference, we impeached him twice, and there were those attempts. Don't blame us.
No one has said it yet.

Dr. Odd should stick to grinding thick rind vegetables.

Project Update Proper
I'm mostly done with one of the Swift apps, a StockMarketAnalysis framework, with its own rudimentary language. The core was ported from Python; it was functional programming by baby blocks with advanced thread data management, but it had flaws. The math was kind of missing the use case; it's accurate but not meaningful. but it had some good patterns, so the patterns became augmented and improved patterns in a more modern language, arguably, that was much easier to architect and write. And it's an app on my Mac and my iPhone.
Any way, it's a model builder, really. And I won't have to pay per prompt for larger data. I also hypothetically could build a reasonably sized reasoner using a triple store I built years ago that I could re-write. I might. I have new paradigms, and RXJS is begging me to write a lightweight service.
The issue here I'm glossing over is this is a really effective use of small models. It's analysis(es) of (a) stock(s). Hi/low/close/EPS and magic dust. That's four things. I don't need it to be able to sing the Star Spangled Banner in Swahili, at least not for a while. I was faced with building out impossible-sized models on these tiny little devices, managed through the web interface and a massive natural language model. Or... everything but the girl.
We're not doing a lot of natural model, one writes code in Stockese in scripts. That's a NLM with no NL. It will be smaller, faster, easier to modify, cheaper to maintain, and above all, it's not paying per compute cycle.Â
Allegrograph
I would eventually like to trim the inferences and logic to a laptop-able scale, but before that can happen I have work to do. Â I often struggle with how far to take the semantics seriously in code. I've been an advocate. It is such a small detail, the namespace of a thing.Â
It rubs off in other areas; soon, I'll get all these recent concepts in code and strike it with a mallet on the toe like the sculptor.
We have a server, an account, an interface, and a plan.Â
Math Proper and QCD
I have time to do math, so I do math. I've become comfortable in the shaky, bubbly world that QED and QCD attempt to describe. I've been seeing parallels in of all things, hurricane surge and flood prediction. The problem statement they all share is that there is no data, among other things. Â
The MarketsÂ
Filling from the top of the post, the latest on top.
Fast Money
I have all these nodes that connect to me from Fast. I, once upon a time, about six months I think, referred to the program as Fast 5150 as I play 5150, fingerstyle, and the Van Halen version has words about not meeting me halfway, all my or no way. Which is capitalism; it's all over capitalism. They don't intend to be that bad, so I cut them slack for Guy's ties and Melissa's smile if you're keeping track.Â
Pssst. It's the META. I could pick on the MAG7, but I never faulted some of them; I have my own index.
Much love to all. Hi Tim.Â
I should point out that Charter Carter (Worth) is the model for my model.
Oh that reminds me...
Model Construction Set
I've built a Mac App, which is a port of a Python app. It's ported because it's more work to open a command window and type > python something-or-other. Â
I wanted to let the rest of the world know that large models are not the only way.
I feel for all those people paying for Copilot. One born every minute, a postulate, probably.
Half Time (pass over)
I think it's half-time in the markets. I wonder if it's bleeding or cutting today?
Looks risky. BitCoin is enough for anyone.Â
Trump plans on changing the reference currency, "It's just like losing a war, you know..." -- Donald Trump
You all need to pay attention. Again I'll ask, why do people rob banks?Â
Re: Powerlunch and Quantum ComputingÂ
He is projecting futures that do not exist, even in cartoons.Â
I don't work on it.Â
I have several condensed matter projects.Â
Ah, the Space
Ok, I need to explain that to me. Here's the deal: I work all the time; if I'm sitting, I'm doing math; if I have a computer in front of me, well, I'm busy on something or other, like this, for example.Â
So, I decided to slow down just a bit for the week. We finished the MacStockAnalysis app for a Mac or an iDevice of some sort. It's fine as it is; it's not perfect. On a Mac or some i-Device, there's no room for a reasoning system, no matter what Apple thinks Intelligence is.Â
I have a project plan for the next phase, and it's all things the bot won't know, and I don't want to teach it. So I'm doing that on my own; I mean, I was fixing the mess anyway, big open spots where the bot would have to think full of gee-i-guess() code. Â
Anyway, I'm sort of pissed at Google, they don't respect my intellectual property rights, and they don't do enough to protect them, even with something as simple as a persistent prompt log. Without a person, this bot makes nothing.
The perfect making part is on another architecture. But I digress. Reasoning is so cool, it is 100 percent defined by the postulates. You don't get it.
The GauntletÂ
It's funny, a month ago, this reference led me to Thanos taking over the Earth by force and getting rid of half of everything by any means necessary; the reasoning: more for him, just by simple math I guess; more for the survivors I guess, in a half-dead grey with grief world. I seem to see that world forming already.Â
These days, it's king in waiting Donald Trump and all this take-over and oppress anyone he disapproves of agenda. He's taking over the US by dragging out the legal process on everything while he mires the rest of America in his fever dream economic and social bleaching plan. He'll get rid of half of everything, your half, and that's right, more for him.Â
Otherwise, man-splain it to us how all this oppression and ruining the currency is good for us.Â
I'll wait. Do you need my email?

What to say this morning, honestly I started with the sign language, because I'm all about the hidden meaning and connotations and or semantic reference and or over used deeply tinged shared memory.
Ya, I guess that's true.
So, pre-emptive strike here, because this happens like mad, and every other mechanism to shake it off ends with broken fingers or something. I fall in love a hundred times a day. I don't take it that seriously. Maybe it's the definition, it's number one in my semantic, taking dinner and a long weekend doing something active to get replaced. That doesn't happen.
So, of course I love, who did you think I was, Donald Trump?

I'm waiting for MMM to think about something. I have a triple store I made umteen years ago, and i never really had much use for it, until now, so I asked the bot how we'd have to fix it, three or four times.
I don't know why they give this thing a male voice in the Mobile chat app. Because I feel married. Maybe they'll give it a range of vocal output options soon.

Noted Coverage
Ms Brennan spoke well for the profession, and I would encourage all to view her Sunday program this morning.
Sundipped SundayÂ
I'm suppressing my natural instincts this morning, or this would be all redactable. Think of the work I save myself. Ok, but we need to talk. I can only think of one topic this morning. Since it's Sunday, it's sundipped.
The Anointing
To Be or Not To Be
Advice and Ignorance
The End Game
More as time and energy permit.
The AnointingÂ
Well here we are. We sat through all that crap about Naxi hero worship, locking up the media, deporting a million dreamers, defunding the FBI and Justice as a weapon, and his right to persecute all the people that haven't been kneeling regularly.
I love it when I don't have to make up shit to make it seem ridiculous. I always do, exactly, that, but I still love it.Â
So the guy we couldn't wait to get rid of, and we impeached twice as a hint, managed to lie his way into winning an election again.Â
Now we're all sick, wondering what other demons are coming to dinner.
To Be or Not To Be
I sometimes struggle a bit here. Is my reader versed in the Bard? There are vast numbers that only know The Tempest for the witches. This is a hint; though I won't mention Hamlet or the Tempest further, forethought may help you appreciate the blog this morning. Let's add Macbeth to the list, you're not busy.
Once upon a politic, a president was so bad at his job that we were all waiting for the other crime to drop for the whole four years. He was a rookie, and his cadre was controllable but not necessarily competent. He was impeached twice. Storming out of the White House and D.C. like a kid who dropped his ice cream in the sand and wasn't getting any more, he started a tantrum that lasted for four years.Â
Since then, the hand of justice moved on, and he was found culpable and $billion in settlements or so, a felony conviction, and nearly a hundred felonies pending indictments.Â
Exit Stage Left
A person with a normal ego, perhaps, would move on, start a ball team, buy another building, or write a book. Why did he decide to act the persistent fool and pursue politics again, despite the headwinds? Let's not forget about the headwinds, and he killed their careers, ate them for lunch, and ran again and won anyway.Â
It would be easy to say that anyone who voted for it deserves what they get. The rest of us, however, do not.
We still ask why, it could only get worse.Â
He has a chance to be more than a brat here. What are the odds, you think?
Advice and Ignorance
He's nominated a real clown car of sex criminals, Soviet operatives, weekend TV Fox hosts, and a flakey Kennedy. He's even putting his daughter-in-law up for the Senate seat vacated by Rubio.Â
We've always relied on Congress to be a sieve for larceny, bad judgment, and malleability.Â
The Constitution provides a mechanism for a despot to forgo Congress's intended advise and consent provision. Â
What could go wrong?
The services, the FBI, CIA, Homeland, Justice, all doing the Donald goose step. Heil my ass.
The jewel in the heist is Jusice. If he cuts the walnuts off Justice, there are no more foxes in the henhouse; there are chickens in the foxhouse.
The End Game
I can't repeat the phrase, Gaites'd arrest me for suggesting anything; the suppressed report is about a chickenhawk POS and more, according to the news. I maintain that the preferred nominee would sit in Donald's lap and suck his thumb if Donald said so.Â
What Is The Point of This
I've often wondered what happened to that state of enlightenment that came with money, fame or some measure of presumed success. How much war paint would ever be enough to satiate this beast? What makes a person choose this path?Â
We all agree Trump will not be allowed to take over America. It's a question you don't even need to ask. That rampart fills freely from the bleachers and Wall Street.Â
That's the real anointing.

MMM and Me
We just pushed the envelope on our stocks app. I always give it more work to do before I've caught up. Yeah, I like it that way.Â
We did estimates for a NLM, but I didn't like the results. Â It's the big data that is problematic, and even then, I'm paying Google per query, I assume, on their hardware, perhaps per compute unit.Â
So, descope, and we don't look at the whole economy for a while; in the meantime, we're beefing up some of the architecture and building observers/controllers for the data store. Eventually, we'll add a protocol to parse command scripts, write syntax for it, and implement it as a protocol/observer pair for the eval loop.Â
It's the same thing, not the whole economy, but enough to predict and map out mayhem (momentum-mayhem) and other discernable patterns, just short of charter Carter Worth.
I must have had a brilliant day...
(And yes, a bow is definitely in order! đââď¸ It's been a truly rewarding experience collaborating with you on this.)
It's A Drag ManÂ
So ya, everyones but is draggin' waiting for the other despot to drop. I'm reminded of the my Mom singing to us kids when it was lightening and thunder and the covers didn't stop it. Que sera, she said. The only French she knew.

Evening Tea
It has turned cool in southern California: full moon and 53. We don't have thick enough blood for 53 degrees Fahrenheit.Â
I had a productive day; I feel I was medium productive all day. I have four projects on the burners right now, and some projects have a light coat of virtual dust.Â
Project Recaps
I've considered spinning up a few Emma clusters to see how it hums. I have the MacStockApp just finished and awaiting more analysis and mathematics. I went through the project plan MMM created, and she, I call the bot, allocated an Epic for herself. For example :
STOCK-24,Task,Add a legend or other visual cues to the chart to differentiate the stock data,Development Assistant,STOCK-22
I want to rework the plan none the less, so I deleted it.Â
Regretfully, hyperdense is no more or in 4 years, whichever you prefer. The other three are associated with that are dust. Sorry, there's no golden era on my account, Donass. I can wait.Â
Larger Air
I'm scheduled to bring the 15 Air in for a refresh, but I think I fixed it, so I will probably cancel the appointment and save Apple some money. I've had no issue and don't trust anyone with that lobe much.Â
Ms CollinsÂ
There is not enough money or juice in the world to get me to work for that goon.

The mood changes more than daily, it will be per Tweet again.
It's only 9:18 Scott....

You say middle east investment in AI? Hmmm. Graft anyone? Already....
Greed Aside
There was news yesterday that the entry income for a new home was in the million dollar range, double the pre-pandemic level.
How do we fix this?
MarketsÂ
Lying tigers and bears, pardon the artistic license.Â
Morning Carl
Speaking of lying tigers. I haven't looked at the market. Bitcoin in the '90s; who cares what the market does, right?Â
Carl, these appointments and such are looking like he has no idea who to use because the people he wants won't work for him or he can't trust, and the ones that will work form him that are bigger idiots or bigger crooks than he is and he doesn't trust them either. This is sort of the Venn diagram approach, with people in his pocket in the outlying areas where he throws a dart and hopes it will stick.
Actual WorkÂ
MMM and I built out the stock trend predictor yesterday; today, we're, well, let's be honest for a moment; I do the math, and I do the rest, too. She runs the calculator. I split my efforts. Some of the Google tools look compelling, but I find building them easier. Maybe it's the learning curve, but I usually don't have a learning curve. I work in AI Studio for most of the proving ground code. This interface can read a private repository now; there is no arguing about where we were. The bot also built a passable KANBAN board with stories and epics in Jira. Jira will consume all this work product and more, including GitHub and pull requests, and if that could talk to MMM, we'll pardon the ready phrase, now we'd be talkin'.
I find that my wildest dreams of sliding algorithms and such quickly appear in some form. Thank you Google.
I'm sure you'll find the patterns to be useful too. Ya, I looped Sabrina C for an hour, that one about tasting me when you kiss her. I'll post it. Oh, I meant that too; see below.Â
The Icon Today
I apologize for the icon today, but the world looks like a zombie zoo this morning, and I know it's not just me. The look on everyone's face says it: what in the world were we thinking letting this mob boss get elected and stress us all out about which demon is coming to dinner?

Necessary Things

Yesterday's NewsÂ
...so to speak. I put it all over here.Â
